You still have to do the work of the document being created in the first place and the work of the document being delivered in a secure manner."

"Well, there is the whole idea of the "s" sound and that's basically where we found the idea for our eSignature," explains Jorgen Jens, an associate professor in the university's department of information science and technology. Jens's colleagues at the Center for Information Security, including doctoral students and undergraduate engineering students, are the ones creating the eSignature for their fellow citizens.
"We're really looking forward to this because there's really lots of potential for data that isn't necessarily public, but could easily be kept private," says James Meehan, the director of the Center for Information Security.
The data the eSigners are gathering is, in many ways, a snapshot of how citizens of this country and around the world are using the Internet, including social networking and online shopping, the Center reports.
