What is the importance of Digital Signature?
Importance of Digital Signature1. Strengthen securityWhen it comes to keeping confidential information secure, an electronic signature is one of the most important things you can have. In the online age, there are countless hackers and malicious schemes that exist solely to steal your data and, while they’re at it, maybe your identity as well. With a digital signature, however, you can sign documents online without having to worry. Digital encryption and audit trails keep your signature secure, protecting your organization against fraud and keeping your information away from prying eyes and hands that could do untold harm to a business if given the opportunity.2. Cut costsPaper and printing can get expensive. Reducing paper waste has been known to save government organizations money in the past. For instance, according to the National Resources Defense Council, the EPA Region 10 offices in the Northwestern U.S. implemented paper-saving techniques that led to $49,000 in annual savings. Maintaining a printer fleet is expensive – especially when clerks and admins are printing thousands of paper documents every day. With a digital signature, however, sending paper documents is unnecessary. Not only will printing costs go down – so too will the expenses related to the actual procurement and processing of confidential files. According to the National Center for State Courts, electronic filing can reduce the costs associated with distributing paper files. Electronic filing with digital signatures, therefore, can save court and law organizations money. It also helps cut down on environmental waste, because you’re not using snail mail to send documents.3. Improve digital workflow and save timeIt can sometimes take months from the time a document is requested until it is received. One of the biggest benefits of having an electronic signature is that it can save time. According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, filing online with a digital signature can save considerable time when it comes to processing and organizing important documents. In addition, e-filing can be done at any time via the Internet – doing away with the long lines associated with going down to the courthouse to request or submit documents.“In essence, digital signatures allow you to replace the approval process on paper, slow and expensive, with a fully digital system, faster and cheaper,” Pierluigi Paganini wrote for Security Affairs.Electronic signatures also make it easier to organize those confidential documents, because there aren’t any physical papers to sift through. Instead, an electronic document management system can be utilized. Demand Media’s Chris MacKechnie noted that electronic document management systems can be accessed by any authorized employee on the organization’s network. In this way, law firms and courts can increase employee productivity and save time that would normally be spent trying to locate physical files.4. Increase storage spaceThe lack of physical files doesn’t just save time. With electronic documentation, files are stored in virtual servers connected to the IT network, meaning there is no need for paper files anymore. In other words, offices can save storage space by moving to digital paperwork and signatures, as well. This translates to more space for other things and easy access to the files once they’ve been moved to the digital realm.

What is the best PDF reader, annotator, and organizer for academic scholars using a Mac? Is there such an application and/or sof
Even I had the similar problem, my windows 10 upgrade laptop crashed badly and I decided to go for Macbook Air which is all new OS for me. Earlier I had organised my work in Zotero in Mozilla Firefox, and I was using symlink to dropbox to sync my library between my office PC and Laptop (as free 300 MB cloud storage got exhausted early and I had no credit card to buy additional Cloud Storage from Zotero), it was all working good until I went for Window 10 upgrade and finally my hardware crashed. Now in mac I don’t know much where the appdata file stored and not sure even the symlink can be created from Zotero library stored in dropbox or not.I have installed Zotero in Firefox on mac yet I’m looking to find more easy way to do the same. I read a comparison which I hope you’ll find useful http://thesismonkey.com/compare-...Now, I’m going to try Readcube coz it has auto search and highlighted pdf options along with other features like Zotero. Lets hope it works well!

What are the benefits of this integration for citizens?A) DigiLocker has partnered with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for making available digital driving license and vehicle registration certificates to Indian citizens. Under this partnership, DigiLocker is now directly integrated with the National Register, which is the national database of driving license and vehicle registration data across the country. Henceforth, DigiLocker users will be able to access their digital RC and DL both on desktop computers and on mobile devices. Here are the benefits of this integration:Paperless Services: Digital driving license and vehicle registration will minimize the use of physical documents.Authentic Records: Citizens can share the authentic digital certificates directly from the data source with other departments as identity and address proof resulting in reduction of administrative overhead.Spot Verification: The digital RC and DL in a DigiLocker account can be spot verified for authenticity either by validating the Digital Signature of MoRTH on the PDF copy of the document or by scanning the QR code on digital documents by using the QR scan facility on DigiLocker mobile app.Q) What is the process of getting my digital DL (driving license) and RC (registration certificate) in DigiLocker?A) For getting the digital RC and DL, users should ensure their Aadhaar number is linked with their DigiLocker account. Once this is done, they can go to the "Pull Partner Documents" section, select the issuer and document type and enter the document details asked for. This will allow them to fetch their document from the transport ministry database. Once the document is fetched, users can save a permanent link (URI) to this digital document in their "Issued Documents" section for later reuse. While fetching the transport ministry digital records in DigiLocker, your name in your Aadhaar card should match your name in the RC and DL database of the National Register. This ensures that only the rightful owner of the documents is able to fetch the digital DL and RC.Please click here to get a step by step demo for the process of getting the digital RC and DL.Citizens can get their Digital RC and DL on both desktop and on mobile devices (Android only at present, iOS coming soon.)Q) How can I be sure that the Digital RC and DL in DigiLocker is indeed coming from the transport ministry database? Are these digital records authentic and legally valid under Indian laws?A) The digital RC and DL in DigiLocker is digitally signed by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. It is fetched in real-time directly from the National Register database and has a timestamp for record keeping purposes. This digital document is a legally valid document under the Indian IT Act 2000.Q) How can a CBSE Class XII student get access to their digital mark sheet on DigiLocker?A) DigiLocker has partnered with CBSE for issuing digital mark sheets to 2016 Class XII students.
