What is one Country you wouldn't visit, even if paid?
Thanks for the A2A Gopalkrishna VishwanathI have had pleasant and unpleasant experiences in almost all the countries I have travelled. It is a part of the adventure, whats the fun if all trips/visits were only good memories right. One country I will never visit again unless you put a gun to head is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).It was a business trip as one of my clients was implementing an ERP software and I had to go and help the onsite team on certain issues for 2 weeks. The reason why i dont ever want to visit is because of the following experience- At Immigration counter, as soon as they saw my Indian passport the officer started yelling at me in Arabic. I had no clue what was going on, I tried to ask in broken english and sign language and visual clues showing the Arabic card of the organization and the PRO who was supposed to meet me. He kept my passport and I was escorted to a waiting area for a couple of hours until I was let inside the country. Even today, I have no idea what happened. In the two weeks, I was questioned by the religious police about 4 times. I was dressed in long trousers and a full sleeve shirt. They asked for Iqama (Work Permit) in Arabic, I showed my Passport and business visa. No cant do. They needed Iqama and understood nothing else. I again had to call the PRO and ask him to explain. There were other expat women from Europe and Northern America who were doing the tasks which I needed to automate. Can I talk to them directly? No..I was supposed to explain it to one guy in english, who would explain it to some other lady in the department in Arabic, who would then ask the intended person (the expat) in English. This game of Chinese Whispers was time consuming at the least and at most I used to get a response that was nowhere related to the question I had askedWe had to set up meetings in the Gated Communities where everyone was put up after work to actually start our workThe paper and physical signature mindset. I send a request via email or I set the ERP system to automate the approval process, they will not approve it the application. Some clerk has to physically print out the email and get a physical signature and it would be filed. We were doing some task/activity capture to identify the steps involved and try to streamline and cut unnecessary steps to improve efficiency. One team member suggested to a head of department that some taks can be removed or be done in a better manner and suggested multiple options. The department head didnt like it and his work permit was cancelled and he was sent back the same eveningThere is nothing called work ethic ( i am talking about the local citizens) and deadlines are never honored.I experienced all these above within 5 days of me arriving in the country. Couple of months after I signNowed back to LA, my manager asked me would I be willing to travel to KSA again and I told him I will never go back no matter what incentives he offers. I went on to tell him that if he tries to send me back by going over to the top bosses, I will take a one day trip to Israel just to get an Israeli stamp on my passport. (This was around 2008, where there was a policy to stamp the passport in Israel during immigration no like today where it is piece of paper with entry and exit stamps)

What are the top ERP for setting up a new company?
Hey there,I’m assuming you’re a trading, distribution or e-commerce company. I appluad you for thinking about getting a good system, because setting your foundations right are important especially in the early stages of a company. That being said, you have to be extremely budget concious and know exactly what you need. As a small company, often there will be a lot of features that you’ll pay for but not need. So be brutal about your assessment, and find a software that fits your needs.Another note of caution would be to assess your workflow INDEPENDENTLY from the software you’re going to adopt. That’s because if you decide to ditch the software for whatever reason, you’ll need to still run your business, and if you’re too overly dependent on the software you’ll have a hard time leaving it, and that could be disastrous for your business.I face these issues constantly by small businesses as I help them navigate through it via our ERP system EMERGE App - Order Processing, Inventory & Simple Accounting System. It’s a good system for small businesses and I highly encourage you to check it out and sign up.Do let me know if you have any further queries, else you can check out our blog at Blog | EMERGE App.All the best for your business!

Is being nice in business an unwise or weak practice (e.g. ending emails with best regards, showing an interest in personal even
My Boss: “Charles, where the hell did you get that attitude? I love it.”Most people that meet me think I’m a nice guy. I don’t know whether I am or not, but I definitely know why people think that. I’m a corporate guy, I’m always friendly, I try to solve every problem that hits my desk whether it’s my actual job or not, and I’m always very polite.Or at least, this is how I treat my co-workers, bosses, and subordinates. It has worked to my advantage. I’m the guy people rely on to solve problems other people don’t want, and this gets reflected when it’s time for raises, bonuses, perks, and my frequent afternoons off because I partied too hard the day before. But the plot thickens. In addition to being an accountant/analyst within the real estate finance industry, I’m also the systems analyst/administrator for our ERP software program, Yardi. If you don’t know what that is, don’t worry about, it’s a program that charges rent and keeps track of financials and stuff. Super boring.Anyhow, we’re integrating a second system into the program that will allow our operations managers to use an app to record information and that information will be fed into Yardi. The company building our web app wanted to charge us $6000.00 to set up a test server so that I could bug check the transfer of information between the platforms. When I saw the e-mail, my jaw dropped. Here I am, basically donating my time to an outside company, that is building an app for us that they can then turn around and sell to every other real estate/property management company in the western world that uses Yardi, (most do,) and they want to charge me?So I storm into my bosses office. She’s already laughing. We set up a conference call with the CEO of the company building our app, on the call is the entire executive team, (who all outrank me signNowly,) the project manager of the app company, and of course the aforementioned CEO.After a brief exchange of pleasantries, our President begins:“So, it sounds like you guys want to charge us a whole bunch of money on top of development fees just so we can test your software.”The CEO of the app company responds: “We don’t think a test app is necessary. We’re ready to go live.”The President begins to respond: “Our analyst, Charles” -Me: “I’m going to stop you right there, sir. First of all, nobody is touching my accounting system without my express sign off. It’s not because I’m suspicious, it’s because I’m the sap who will get stuck fixing everything if something goes wrong. So with all due respect to the executive team, this is my decision. But I disagree with the President, I think the money you want to charge us for the test app is absolutely fine.”I hold up my hand to indicate to the executive team that nobody should speak. It’s radio silence for about 7 or 8 seconds. The CEO speaks up and says: “Then what’s the issue?”Me: “I just want to make you aware of my consulting fees.”More radio silence. One of the VPs has to cover his mouth to stifle laughter.Me: “I’ll be more specific. I am assisting you in bug checking and quality assurance for a product you will make money off of. Therefore, I’m working for you. I charge by the hour, and our President can attest to the fact that I don’t work cheap. Trust me when I say that although the companies in this industry are big, everyone knows everyone, and if you actually went live with a product that screwed up our accounting records, everyone in the industry would know overnight and your product would be a complete non-starter. So here’s where we’re at, if you’re charging us to test, I’m charging you for consultation services, and believe me when I say I’m the best around. And you will definitely pay for that level of quality.”Long moment of radio silence. More stifled laughter. Nobody at work has ever seen the alpha in me come out, I suppress every urge to set someone straight and get confrontational at work, as it’s one of the only ways to exist and excel in an intermediate role in the corporate world, especially as a very large kind of intimidating looking man.The CEO’s response: “Five hundred bucks.”I look to the President and he gives me a nod.Me: “Done deal, thanks for your time, make sure your development team is in touch.”The moral of the story is that your demeanor in the business world has to be catered to your audience and the situation. Especially in the modern climate where perceived toxic masculinity is a thing, us big intimidating looking guys need to make sure we’re always friendly and as respectful in the office to ensure everyone remains comfortable working with us. If I expressed frustration over one of the countless ways our AR, AP, admin team or operational managers have screwed up and caused me extra work, one single complaint to HR might cost me percentage points on my bonus, or worse, a chance to get promoted to the Jr. Exec level, which would be the next step for me.And not just that, but on a personal level, dealing with someone who tries to shame people at work, or act in a hostile way, or even just mope around because they clearly hate their life, it sucks the energy right out of an office. If you’re around pleasant, happy, energetic, and helpful people, you’ll gravitate more towards that type of attitude yourself.A good attitude is infectious. But a great way to show your versatility is to be a bit of a wild card when the situation calls for it. I chose to speak up, get semi-confrontational, and leverage my skill set for the benefit of my company. I did it behind closed doors where only the top people will have visibility over that aspect of my personality, and it clearly showed how I can adapt to specific scenarios to ensure the best outcome for the company. Thanks for reading.

What is it like to work at SpaceX?
I've been an engineer with SpaceX for over five years now. I've seen and helped the company grow from less than 500 people in to the powerhouse it is now. I highly doubt that there is a cooler company in the world than SpaceX. Everything that's been said is certainly true. SpaceX really is awesome. What's been said is just one part of what it's like to work with Elon Musk so I'll discuss the side that you won't often hear.If you want a family or hobbies or to see any other aspect of life other than the boundaries of your cubicle, SpaceX is not for you and Elon doesn't seem to give a damn. This side of what it's like to work with Elon shows that no one likes working with Elon. You can always tell when someone's left an Elon meeting: they're defeated. These are some of the hardest working and brightest people in the world, mind you. And they are universally defeated. At least in engineering, who knows what HR and finance does. The reason for this is that Elon's version of reality is highly skewed. It's much like Steve Jobs's "reality distortion field" except Elon isn't great at public speaking. If you believe that a task should take a year then Elon wants it done in a week. He won't hesitate to throw out six months of work because it's not pretty enough or it's not "badass" enough. But in so doing he doesn't change the schedule. One of the most famous quotes that runs around the office is one from a company wide talk Elon gave a couple of years ago where he said "Not enough of you are working on Saturdays." Of course reality kicks in and either junk product gets flown or something terrible happens. Ultimately the schedule slips--surprise surprise, fatigue is real. It's understandable. Putting people on Mars is not a small task especially given the overwhelming political obstacles that face SpaceX's mission. Continuously being the underdog, fighting the ULA behemoth and the entrenched politicians that strangely want SpaceX to fail is only a small part of it. SpaceX certainly requires a hard mentality. But so often Elon's leadership is best compared to a master who berates and smacks his dog for not being able to read his mind.Nothing you ever do will be good enough so you have to find your own value, not depending on praise to get you through your obviously insufficient 80 hour work weeks. In order to continue working with Elon, you have to learn to ignore almost everything he says and you have to be prepared to be jabbed over and over. "Just six more months and we'll go IPO!" is among his most repeated lines though he stopped trying to sell that a couple years ago as people stopped believing it long ago.It is a great company and I do love it. But it isn't the pie in the sky, everything's great idea that so many seem to think

Which enterprise SaaS companies have an excellent on-boarding and/or trial user experience?
It’s FREE! What have you got to lose?In this competitive environment, many companies have been offering free trials to get customers hooked in their product and have an edge on competition. In the world of SaaS, free trial typically offered for 14 or 30 days. In fact, one study mentioned that, almost half of SaaS companies offer 30-day free trial. However, free trials can either drive your company to success or can pretty much kill your growth. Onboarding aims to set the tone of your relationship with your customers and if customers did not see the awesomeness of your product within this period, you’re in trouble. What incident changed your perception about life?
I was 18 (so was she) and in 2nd year of B Tech (and she was in 2nd year of B Sc) when I encountered her in an auto. That's again going to be a long story that how we started talking and all, but let me fast forward to meeting her again through facebook and finally getting into a fully fledged relationship.I was little resistant about getting into a relationship first, but her cuteness, care, love and passion towards me made me fall in love with her unconditionally. My college was on the way to her college. So, in my 4th year and her M Sc 1st year, she would bunk her classes and hangout with me in my college mostly. She was an NCR localite commuting from her home daily while I was an outsider staying there till my graduation only.I got placed in one of the biggest automobile giants at an early stage of my final year, and was asked to join at Ahmedabad, Gujarat just a week after my final exams. The very thought of me going to leave that place permanently made her very possessive. Each passing day would take us closer and closer. She cried her heart out the day I left Delhi to Ahmedabad. I felt as if my heart would collapse. Though she was born and brought up in NCR, her whole world became limited to me during those years. (That's the best and worst thing about girls).I joined my first job and as usual, was hell busy learning new things. Despite being surrounded by so many people, I felt her presence every single second. Even if I get 1 minute, I would call her. I was not like that before, I never bothered about her earlier but this love turned me completely.I started finding alternatives of going back to Delhi, as that distance was unbearable from both ends. We were inter-caste (me being a Hindu-Brahmin and she was a Hindu-Jaat). I never thought of marrying her ever initially, because I knew it was not possible. I would rather scold her if she would dream anything about it. But it all changed when we attained that stage of equilibrium. We would dream for hours having our kids and home and honeymoon and kitchen and our kids school and college etc etc.She would always say that her family won't agree to marriage if I don't become a government officer, no matter how good my salary is according to recent trends of corporate sector. That thing would bother me like hell always.I didn't know I was that emotional. That dream of being together made me resign from my well paying job (highest in my whole batch including all departments — writing this while everyone of my batch is following me on quora). You don't realize what you're doing with your life when you're in love. I returned to Delhi and set up a new rented house in Noida with whatsoever money I earned and saved during those 6 months of job-cum-training period.I left the previous job without having a new job. So there I was, with almost no money left after rent-brokerage-security-kitchen-stuff-bed-table etc. of a 2 BHK flat.Luckily I had left my college-time-bike with my friend in Delhi only, so got that with me. I approached my big brother like Guru who is a Professor of Business Administration at Amity University Noida. He gave me some content related work for which I got an specific amount which was enough to cover 1st month expenses. As I was having time to meet her almost everyday, I didn't care about anything else.Meanwhile one of the colleague professors of my cousin wanted a good home-tutor for her child who was in 9th std, to which I had shown my interest already. He sent me there to take a demo-class and this way my teaching journey started. Due to word of mouth, within 20 days, all my 8 slots (4 hours a day, batch split into 2 segments of a month - Monday+Tuesday+Wednesday = 1 batch and rest on other 3 days while having a Sunday off) were full for 400-500 Rs. an hour. I made close to half lacs a month while just giving my 4–5 hours a day in total, that too in evening only.I had a complete day to spend time with her, enough money to live a bachelor’s life and no tension of any kind as I had her by my side. I felt complete satisfaction from life during those 6 months. I had plans of marrying her right after attempting UPSC and cracking it in the very first attempt (over-confidence, I know). But life does not go along your plans always. I didn't realize the fact that just the moment you realize your life has become perfect, it is ready to give you another blow. I was just enjoying my life completely forgetting the sole reason of leaving my MNC job and getting the tutor job.And then 1 fine day, she told me that her Roka is scheduled the coming Saturday and she would no longer be able to talk to me.I didn't believe my ears, was dumbstruck completely. I felt my legs shaking and world shattered. I thought she was joking initially, but she wasn't. I didn't know what happened suddenly. Did I do any mistakes? What went wrong? I gave much more time than before. I did whatever she wanted. I talked whenever she wanted. I helped wherever she wanted. Then what happened all of a sudden???That wait till Monday morning was the longest wait I have gone through ever in my life. She came to my place to get all her stuff back and to finally say a goodbye. I cried and cried a lot, so did she. I couldn't hold that truth of going her away forever from my life. I asked her to fight her family for me, to which she declined and gave a plain answer that they won't accept. She somehow promised to meet me again in few days and left.First 2 days were bearable, I was constantly convincing myself not to react and to control my emotions. But 1 fine night I couldn't hold it any longer. I just reacted, burst out of anger, said every mean thing to her over text messages like 'If I meant anything to you, you would have fought for me. You never loved me. You're money minded. You're every bad thing which can happen to me ever, etc etc.’And then the ‘biggest nightmare ever' happened to me.She came to my place the very next day to end everything completely. While I started crying again, she said she would leave the place if I cry. I stopped my emotions and asked why did she do that to me?“Because you're going to get nothing in life. I can't marry a home tutor against an excise inspector. I have compromised a lot in life and don't want to do it anymore. His life will be more stable than yours, etc etc.”“But I'll try to be what you want me to be. I'm also working on it, just give me some more time. I've not attempted UPSC yet. It takes time to understand it completely, and it has even not been 6 months since I came back…”“I gave enough time to you, can’t give anymore. You have got nothing on which I can get my family agreed to marriage. Just having a cute face won’t suffice, there are 100 different things which are considered in a marriage. And now you’ve become fat too.’’“But didn’t we know it all before taking up the relationship? Or I was a just a time pass for you?…”Fast Forward…“I don’t want to discuss it anymore. Enough is enough. Just let me go…’’And I dropped her exactly at the place where we first met in an auto. She took the auto and left even without looking back once. I drove back to my place and didn’t ever texted her back. It has been months since then but I never tried to know where she is now OR did she even get married OR what happened to her.So coming back to the question :What incident changed your perception about life? This one.Now 1 more question added from my side :What did you achieve after your heart-break?I went straight to my home leaving everything in middle.Spent a month in the lap of my family, got the courage to walk all over again.Came back to Delhi, found a very good and well paying job again at Uneecops: Business Automation for SMEs - ERP, BI & E-Governance (A CMMi Level 5 Company).Started taking jRny Entertainment's (@jrnyentertainments) • Instagram photos and videos very seriously (It was a brainchild of my big brother-cum-college senior to which I had joined as co-founder and operational head) and managed almost all big events in the country. See the previous link or visit the website Home - jRny Entertainments.Left the comfort zone at Noida and started living the life of UPSC Aspirants at Mukherjee Nagar (to have that spark going) and take out time from both of my jobs so that I can attempt UPSC in 2019. I am 24 now and have all my attempts remaining.Learnt not to blindly believe everyone. Because behind most of their actions, people carry intentions. Not every emotion they show, is real. (Not generalizing though).Looking forward to live a meaningful life ahead, and want to achieve every big thing existing on this planet : definitely not to show anyone or HER : she doesn’t matter anymore.Thank you so much for reading this long answer. Stay blessed.Signing out.

What do Indonesians think about Singaporeans?
I'm Indonesian and I've spent four years living in Singapore, so the following is more of a personal answer rather than a general one. Disclaimer: the following is a personal opinion and should in no way taken as a generalisation. It is in no way an insult to Singaporeans -I am merely describing what I find and see whilst in Singapore for my studies. That said, I love Singapore, its people, and I am forever in debt to Singapore for what the country has given me, so I'm genuinely not "hating" on Singaporeans here :)Singaporeans walk really fast. Like really, really fast. Even when they don't need to (for example, when window shopping at a mall). However, this is just a first impression -after living there for a few years, I have adopted the practice as well. Now I get really annoyed when other people walk really slowly and block my way. Most Singaporeans have a kiasu mindset, whether they admit it or not. Kiasu means "fear of losing out". It's probably deeply entrenched in the culture so most Singaporeans do it unintentionally or rather unconsciously. When I first came to Singapore, I was really surprised how Singaporeans enjoy queuing for new products. When the first Llao Llao (a frozen yoghurt franchise) outlet opened, the queue almost stopped the entire mall from functioning. There were security guards who arranged the line so people wouldn't block the escalator. The queue was more than 3 hours long. For a frozen yoghurt worth S$6.95, mind you. The main reason is just to try so one wouldn't be like "what's that?" when another person talks about this "new thing" -literally, fear of losing out. Same goes with Honeycreme (a soft ice-cream franchise) and Krispy Kreme (a donut shop). And everytime there's a new seasonal Starbucks drink. The Singlish (Singaporean English) is another whole new thing. To Indonesians (or any foreigner, for that matter) it can be hard to understand Singaporeans when they use too much Singlish. Singlish includes a lot of Hokkien (a Chinese dialect) mixed with some Mandarin Chinese and English. Indonesians don't generally understand Hokkien unless your family is of Hokkien descent. This makes it really difficult to understand what Singaporeans are saying, especially their tone (for example, "lor", "lah", "mah" convey different tone when added at the end of a sentence). Singaporeans study a lot. Indonesians have a very laid back attitude and we have relatively easy exams. On the other hand, Singapore's education standard is top-notch so students have to constantly catch up. Before coming to Singapore, I've never studied unless exams were a week away. In Singapore, people study starting the first week of school. One thing I always get a mini culture shock on every time I land in Changi: to Indonesians, Singaporeans are really unfriendly/rude. In Indonesia, officers/staff/taxi drivers greet you, ask how your day was so far, offer to carry your luggage, and thank you even if you decide not to buy their products. Perhaps Indonesians are the "out-of-the-norm" here, but we're used to having a really friendly/respectful environment. If I had taken a Garuda Indonesia flight (where the stewardess greeted you, offered you blankets, asked if you need more water/tea and wished you a pleasant trip after landing), I would be in a tiny shock -or at least feel the "welcome to Singapore" ambiance -to find the cleaning lady in the Changi airport toilet basically ignoring my existence as I entered, and not replying "you're welcome" as I thanked her on my way out. It's just a bizarre feeling. Some Singaporeans can be a bit close-minded. Perhaps due to Singapore's "global city" mindset -many Singaporeans think their place is where everything is centered and therefore lack knowledge of the outside world. For example, many do not know other countries' political matter (even highly publicised ones, like the Donald Trump situation, the Panama Papers issue, etc). Many are very traditional too, perhaps due to racial harmony issues in the past so families feel the need to maintain their roots. This is a stark contrast to many Indonesians who are very very (sometimes too) open-minded and have a very "modernistic" view of the world.

Frequently asked questions
How do i add an electronic signature to a word document?
When a client enters information (such as a password) into the online form on , the information is encrypted so the client cannot see it. An authorized representative for the client, called a "Doe Representative," must enter the information into the "Signature" field to complete the signature.
How do you know an electronic signature is real?
That you have the signature of an actual person that signed it.
And, of course, I do. Because that's the thing about an electronic signature. If you can't prove with something else that you were the actual person who actually signed it or that your physical signature is there, it becomes a fraud. That is, unless you could get a court to sign off on it, where the court would basically rule this electronic signature is a real signature, even if the electronic signature looks real to you. You can't be sure.
It's like the difference between a hologram and a hologram. It doesn't matter who put it there. They don't have to show a real hand to make it work. So, if you sign an electronic signature, if that person can't provide proof that the signature is theirs, it becomes fake. It becomes fraud.
So, in the case of electronic signatures, and there's an entire case that's been pending in the court for about ten years about, what to do about them, the judge actually said there was enough evidence in that case, which is sort of an interesting precedent for a lot of these kinds of cases. If you can show a court that an electronic signature can be faked, you could get a court ruling to allow you to make a copy of that signature and prove that the signature is fake. So that would solve that particular problem. It's not a complete fix by any stretch of the imagination, but it would solve that particular issue. So that would really solve one of the two problems, because then you could us...
How to sign a cover letter in pdf?
Yes, you absolutely need to know how to do that!
And, you need to know what to type in to the form, which is what all of this is for!
Here are the basic steps to make your cover letter:
STEP 1: Write your cover letter!
STEP 2: Get your resume ready!
STEP 3: Write the first paragraph!
STEP 4: Use the first two lines of the resume to list the jobs that you do.
STEP 5: Then, list the jobs that you have not yet applied for, but are very interested in. This is the first step to the cover letter, and I suggest you have it written before you even start working your way through the form. I suggest writing the first paragraphs of the resume as I have written them. This will make them more personal and you can go in depth in describing your skills and why you think you would love the position (or why you have not yet applied).
STEP 6: Then, list out all the jobs you have applied to already. You can add these, or delete them if you no longer have them and do not plan on applying.
STEP 7: If you have more than one job, list them all, and make sure you have a summary of them below all the other sections. This will help you in the next step.
STEP 8: Now you will list out all the jobs that you have not yet applied to, but want to! This will help you with the end section. You can just put them in there or write out a summary of them and include it in the end section. Again, try not too much to fill in the rest.
STEP 9: Then add to your resume, in bold type, all the jobs you have...
