well hi everyone welcome back it's mr. Schober and this is our 1990s PowerPoint presentation you know I I told you guys I grew up in the 1980s I was born in the late 70s but grew up in the 80s for you know the first half of my childhood I guess I was 13 when I the 1990s started and you know the 90s was kind of my jus the last part of my junior high and then my high school and most of my college years and then my LDS mission as well but and so so you think I'd like the 90s more than I did the 80s but I don't I prefer the 80s I just think life was more fun back then and maybe of course you know looking back when you're a kid times are more carefree and so forth so maybe maybe the 80s just seemed better but the 90s was a good decade as well a lot of stuff happened and it's kind of when I really really grew up I guess as far as becoming the person I am today but let's look at the 90s and some of the events that happened that shaped not only our country but the world in 1990 with the Cold War ending Germany is reunified the Berlin Wall came down and East and West Berlin and East and West Germany were reunified and was a great time it was a great great event when that happened not so great event was when Iraq invaded Kuwait Kuwait is a small oil-rich country in the Middle East and Iraq one of their oil supplies and so they invaded the Hubble telescope is launched into orbit which gives us amazing pictures from space things we had never seen before and Jim Henson the creator of the Muppets passes away and Jim Henson kind of revolutionized the that that style that genre if you will of of artistry with them you know the whole Muppet the whole Muffit Muppet thing it was great who doesn't love the Muppets he doesn't have Kermit the Frog and you know anyway so he passed away and that was a sad deal so here a few pictures of course of Germany being reunified big parties big gathering celebrations when when the country is finally made whole again and then the Hubble telescope there on the left and some of the pictures it produced on the right unbelievable just it opened up our view as to you know how big space is and what's out there to some degree we I mean we still haven't scratched the surface but we get an idea of just how vast space is in 1991 because Iraq had invaded Kuwait we go in and invade Iraq of course the United States had a major interest in the oil reserves of the Middle East and we didn't want a little Kuwait to be taken over by Iraq and its dictator Saddam Hussein and for Iraq to get their hands on that oil supply so we invade and the Gulf War ensues and it literally is broadcast on nightly television and it wasn't much of a war we annihilated the Iraqi forces they didn't have a chance against the US military but it you know at that point Saddam Hussein became public enemy number one and he kind of was in you know until he was finally captured years later but interesting you know we've had our hand in the Middle East and it's oil for so long now and and that won't change anytime soon the Soviet Union as we knew it ends as well in 1991 communism had been crumbling since 1989 through 1990 and in 1991 it's made official and that was a glorious day and Magic Johnson announces that he has has the HIV virus and that shocks the basketball world and you know the world in general probably the most high-profile individual to come out and say he's got the HIV virus which can lead to AIDS and we didn't know a lot about aids back then and so everybody thought Matt Johnson would surely pass away from this to this day he's still alive and you know it and unfortunately he's still alive you know and and a lot of research and a lot of progress has been made in the AIDS category and the World Wide Web idea is released of course the idea for the internet had been conceived many many years earlier but the idea is now made public that we can have this of course for you and I it's like second nature we go on the Internet we go on the web and everything's on the internet now but just three decades ago it wasn't like that and this idea of the World Wide Web is is kind of made public and released and it's going to within a few years change everyone's lives and so there's the goal for beginning Saddam Hussein the dictator of Iraq on the left there and of course our military is showing up there on the right and we're just gonna destroy the Iraqi forces but you know it was all about money it was all about protecting oil and oil reserves in a region and to make sure we could get our hands on them too so but that's you know that's like what we did and and we didn't apologize for it so whether it was right or wrong that's you know it's what happened and there's urban magic Johnson saying he has the HIV virus so he was forced to retire from basketball you know people didn't know what the effects were gonna be if he was gonna live you know or pass away soon like we said he hasn't passed away yet he's still going strong but he was forced to retire because you know they said well we can't risk him spreading the disease it again we didn't quite know enough about it we didn't know if it was if it was gonna be spread by handshakes coughing on somebody now it could be spread by blood you know open cuts or things like that to other open cuts and things so anyway it was it was just shocking and he actually came back to the NBA for a short time later and played and he also played in the 1992 Olympics and and so his basketball career wasn't completely done but for all intents and purposes it kind of was when he made this announcement in 1992 Los Angeles California and areas surrounding it experienced riots and they were really kind of race riots it was all in response to an incident caught on camera truck driver by the name of Rodney King who was pulled over and arrested and of course the media didn't tell us the full story at the time so what people saw was policemen arresting this guy and and smacking him over the head and and beaten the heck out of him what the media didn't tell us was that he was high on drugs and he wasn't feeling the pain when he was getting whacked and arrested and so it took a bunch of policemen to subdue him and anyway of course they would leave it to the media to you know skew things but I in response to this because he was a black man and was being arrested by mostly white police officers this became a racial thing and it was it was a bad deal and so that that became kind of front and center news for a while uh Minnesota and it's Mall of America the largest shopping mall in the US was opened up in 1992 Johnny Carson the legendary host of The Tonight Show finally retires and leaves the show and Jay Leno hosts it after him of course Jay Leno doesn't do that anymore but he did from the 90s to the you know into the 2000s and so forth Prince Charles and Princess Diana divorce in 1992 they had been married for a number of years they had a couple of boys of course their sons today are famous Prince Harry and his wife and and Prince William and his wife and of course you know they're like tabloid favorites and they're you know always in the news and stuff so but so Prince Charles is the son of Queen Elizabeth the second so basically he's like next in line to be king of England if he continues on with her monarchy in the traditional sense of the word and so he was married to Princess Diana they'd had these two sons Princess Diana was a little basically universally loved in England and around the world she was a kind woman at least that's you know how she was reported kind and she was always doing humanitarian work and she was just a lovely lady and just just fantastic and Prince Charles was not seen in the same light especially by the English they didn't really like him very much they still don't but once he divorced Princess Diana they really didn't like him and he kind of became an outcast if you will I mean of course he's still royalty he's still you know next in line basically to be the monarch but the people of England just he fell out of favor with them because they loved Princess Diana and they didn't love him and then Bill Clinton his elected US president in 1992 the election of 92 he will assume office in January of 1993 and of course during his eight years in office we have some ups and downs in the country and certainly in his personal life so here are a couple pictures of the Mall of America it's huge right you got like the rollercoasters you know you got the amusement park inside the mall and Legoland and everything else right enormous and there's Bill Clinton who had been the former governor of Arkansas elected president in 92 in 1993 Czechoslovakia splits into two countries the Czech Republic and Slovakia with communism ending and kind of based on ethnic and religious and and and language differences Czechoslovakia splits into these two nations which still exist today in that form the World Trade Center in the to the main buildings in New York City there the towers have an explosion as is done by Muslim fundamentalists and so we always think of the 9/11 2001 you know incident of course it's chain which changed the world and still and continues to affect the world today but in 1993 eight years before that there was also an explosion there by some Muslim fundamentalists at least it was attributed to them and it that really you know it's just shocking speaking of shocking Michael Jordan perhaps the greatest basketball player ever retires for the first time he had just won three straight NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls and he said you know I I'm done I'm gonna retire and we're like what you're like in the prime of your career you can't retire and he said I don't know I'm gonna retire I'm gonna try to play professional baseball I played baseball and basketball in high school I love baseball I try to play baseball I've accomplished what I wanted to in basketball I'm gonna play baseball you play baseball for about a year year and a half and he was okay he wasn't you know he wasn't major league material but I mean considering he hadn't played baseball for all those years he was such a tremendous athlete that he picked up back up with baseball pretty well and played in the minor leagues and and did okay but as we will see that baseball career short-lived and he will come back to basketball not long after all so cheers one of the most watched TV shows of all time sitcoms has its final episode there's the crazy Black Hawk Down incident in Somalia with American helicopter and American soldiers and that was just a horrible deal the Power Rangers which some of you may have watched on television when you were little begins so that was crazy and that was like these little kids little kids love the Power Rangers and I thought it was wacky but that's it begins and Jurassic Park the movie hits the theaters the first movie and it revolutionized special effects Jurassic Park when it was a classic movie and it just changed our whole concept of what special effects could do at the movies so here's the cast of cheers there on the left and it was a sitcom basically it was it was based in in a bar the whole thing was kind of based in this tavern bar and people sitting around talking and talking about their lives and I mean you wouldn't think you could make a whole sitcom out of that kind of scenario and have it be as successful as it was but it was wildly popular and a number of these of these cast members of course Ted Danson and Kelsey Grammer and Woody Harrelson you know these guys all well pretty much all of them but the characters but especially those you know kind of spun off and went on to other things they had their own shows or they've been in movies they've been in other TV shows so crazy success for Cheers and then here's Jurassic Park a picture of me how realistic they could make these dinosaurs look now of course they can make things look even more realistic today with special effects but but for 1993 I mean this was just groundbreaking and it was amazing and the first movie they've come they made a bunch of Jurassic Park movies but I think the first one was really good in 1994 there was a tragic civil war in Rwanda and if you want to study more about that you it will make you grateful for where you live and it'll probably make you cry as well for the atrocities that were committed but the civil war is based largely on Belgium the European country who had controlled Rwanda for so long left and there was a minority group in Rwanda and a majority group they're all Rwandan but they said they could kind of tell a difference in appearance between the two groups what was called the Hutu and what was called the Tutsi and the Hutu are the majority group but they felt like they had been oppressed during the Belgian rule and that though that the Tutsis had been given special privileges and now the Hutu are going to take out their anger on the Tutsi and terrible civil war results in countless people died what a terrible thing and Rwanda still hasn't really recovered from that all these years later they made a movie about that incident called Hotel Rwanda which is fantastic but it's kind of hard to watch but it's what a good movie black holes are proven to exist in in the universe in outer space okay also in 1994 the major leagues goes on strike and the World Series is cancelled and it was the first time they hadn't had a World Series in 90 years and it was for baseball fans like me it was terrible I was I was a senior in high school in the fall of 1994 and so I graduated in 1995 and so there was no World Series my senior year and I was bummed but it was of course about money players and owners you know bickering about money and some other things so but they got things figured out and baseball got back the next year oh the OJ Simpson murder case my goodness that that was just front-page forever Oh Jay Simpson the football star former you know former star was accused of killing his estranged wife and her friend and oh it's just it was it was nuts the country is in shock I mean Oh Jay Simpson was a hero for a lot of those people in Southern California yeah he was from California initially from Northern California but he played collegiately at the University of Southern California and he was he was liked by most people that knew him but he and people you know thought oh there's no way he could have done this this is crazy he's being framed he's being set up and all the evidence pointed to him having done it and of course this is going to go on from the summer of 1994 when this all comes to light until the fall of 1995 when a jury is finally going to make a determination in in the courtroom so I mean this goes on for over a year from the accusation to the evidence gathering to the lawyer teams you know and then the trial itself former president Richard Nixon passes away in 1994 on Michael Jackson married Elvis's daughter Lisa Marie talked about a power couple right but that was a short-lived marriage but they were they were married and so who would have thought right that Michael Jackson marry into Elvis's family of course Elvis had been passed away for many years by this time but his daughter who I think looks just like him but he is Michael and lisa-marie got married so that was of course in in you know on the front page of everything when that happened here's OJ Simpson on the cover of time there's a picture of him playing for the Buffalo Bills so he spent most of his NFL career for or with but yeah this was just insane when this happened there's just no way right that OJ could have done this but like I said all the evidence indicated that he did he was as guilty as guilty gets no doubt about it but a jury found him not guilty in the fall of 1995 which was shocking but not so shocking you know what I mean it was like we all knew he was guilty but a lot of us kind of thought the jury would not find him guilty based on a number of reasons so anyway it was crazy but that's this was front page news you know for for a year and then Michael and lisa-marie does she not look like her dad so crazy huh all right in 1995 the Oklahoma City bombing that was crazy spring of 1995 school year was getting close to being done within a couple of months and Oklahoma City and its federal buildi g has a bombing you'll see the effects I mean it just blew off the whole front half of the building it was horrible and of course this is a terrorist move but you know it's blamed on a guy named Timothy McVeigh he gets the brunt of it and some people think though this might have been a deep state even government operation and and so there's all kinds of theories about it about who did it what happened you know but what's really tragic is that you know people died and they had in fact they had a preschool or kindergarten type deal down in the in the basement and kids died and um it was horrible and this is just shocking you know we hadn't seen stuff really like this and so 93 had the explosion at the World Trade Center and then at 95 you know this and America was changing and in the world was changing we hadn't really seen stuff like this hardly ever you know up to this point and this was just crazy Oh Jay Simpson was found not guilty in the court of law and the dot-com boom begins so they had announced kind of the World Wide Web idea in 1991 but by 1995 the web is up most people still didn't have personal computers believe it or not of course now you have them in the palm of your hand but most people didn't have personal computers in their home yet so more and more people were getting them and of course would have them as soon as the web you know takes off but and so the Internet's new at this time but now email and different websites and online shopping and all this stuff that we know gets its start here of course social media wasn't quite around much yet it wouldn't take long for it to start to exist and you as you will see but anyway yeah the web changed everything no doubt about it and it's how we live our life today what would we do if the internet you know no longer existed I mean it's it's a pain when we have slow Wi-Fi right it's a pain when we have when the internet goes out for a while we think what can we do how we can how we gotta live our life right it's ridiculous that we think that way but what we do so anyway dot com boon begins meaning once the Internet's full up you know up and running you know anybody that could create a website that could sell things or market things this becomes the big in all the rage and this is where the money is at have you know to so people a lot of people make a ton of money off this this this new you know website.com craze so these are the this is the result of the Oklahoma City bombing I mean what a mass devastation just horrific right just crazy and you know the story was that this Tim Timothy McVeigh he gets blamed for it but you mean if you do more research on it you know you're gonna see different theories but that he backed up this van full of explosives and it blew the building up and yeah well you know I'm not gonna make any determinations you know in this presentation but again you can you can do your own research and find your own answers or at least your own or at least what other people say about it but it was regardless you can see the damage and the the not only the physical toll that took on the building but the loss of life was just horrendous and then in 1996 the Olympics in Atlanta there was a bombing there this is getting so crazy now it was almost like it was just getting stupid it was almost like you know copycat you know what happens and somebody else go do something too it's just just ridiculous so at a pavilion there you know in Atlanta this bombing takes place they caught the guy luckily nobody dies you know from this and but it was just crazy right on a happier note the Nintendo 64 console is released and that is the console of course that made Mario Kart famous and I left on my LDS mission in 1996 and when I got back my brother had this Nintendo 64 and Mario Kart and I thought you know I love videogames I'd loved him since I was a little kid you know so of course I played my fair share of Mario Kart when I got back from my mission but Nintendo 64 is released in 1996 so you know there's the symbol of the Atlanta Olympics a hundred year anniversary of the first modern Olympics in you know in 1896 and so but then some of the you know the damage that occurred on the right there but I just talking I'm again just get was just crazy that's all I can say that you hear about stuff like this happening you're going wait a minute what's going on we didn't we never used to have stuff like this and that's what I mean is of course there there have always been crazies out there and terrorists to do just to do bad things for the sake of doing bad things but like I said this is one thing that it seemed to me in the 80s when I was growing up he just didn't see stuff like this now maybe maybe you did but of course media wasn't as mass media you know as it is today and when I in the 80s so not things happen in the world you just but you didn't hear about him all the time but I just don't remember seeing and hearing about bombings like this and it seemed like the 90s come around and boom all of a sudden we got you know no pun intended we got bombings we got terrorist activities all over the place and he was just crazy so anyway that's the Atlanta Olympics and then the Nintendo 64 console with it's cool-looking controllers gotta love it you just gotta love it in 1997 Hong Kong goes back to China Hong Kong is a rich city basically amazing how they built this city built on rocks okay basically out and run in the ocean but Hong Kong had been controlled by Great Britain and the deal was though between Great Britain and China that it would go back to China in 1997 and and since up to this day it's still controlled by China now of course most people in Hong Kong were not happy about this because they didn't want to be controlled by the Communist Chinese government they liked the Freedom and the Liberty that that England had basically given them and China since it took back over in 1997 as always has always kind of encroached on Hong Kong always just little by little has kind of hinged its way in and they you know the influence that the the communist government has in Hong Kong can be seen and felt today for people who live there so anyway it kind of kind of crazy but speaking of tragic and crazy Princess Diana dies in 1997 so she had she and Prince Charles had been divorced for a handful years and she dies tragically in an automobile accident I'll show you some pictures she was out on the freeway she had a driver of course and a lot of people think there was foul play involved we may never know the truth but some people think that that the driver was you know something went wrong with the driver that he had some kind of a seizure or he was intoxicated or something you know something was haywire with him I've heard all the theories other people think that she was that she was killed intentionally by another vehicle ramming into her vehicle spinning him out of control you know type thing you know of course people in England who hated King Charles Charles Prince Charles they think that he might have been behind it the royal family might have been behind it you know because Dianna's fame only grew after the divorce and Prince Charles he got less and less popular and and the royal family in general did after that so this was a terrible thing I was on my mission in Brazil when of course in 1997 I remember the people in Brazil were crying and in mourning over Princess Diana I mean she was loved the world over no doubt about it the movie Titanic is released which will become the biggest movie ever worldwide to that time and of course it has Leonardo DiCaprio and it's the story of the Titanic right the 1912 boat ship right that that sank the world said it couldn't be sunk it was indestructible unsinkable and but you know the movie has its own spin on you know as far as the love story involved in things but it becomes the biggest movie ever and in fact of course I'm in Brazil and I think every Brazilian that I that I talked to it seemed the thing like five times so I mean it was it was huge everywhere in the world mother Teresa passes away the woman who devoted her life to helping the poor and the sick and and she was talking about a humanitarian but she passes away in 1997 and then pokeymon is introduced and that becomes a craze for many years after right and it was cartoon and it was movies and it was playing cards and you name it right so 1997 had some had some zingers no doubt about it there's Princess Diana and that's what her car looked like after the accident so you can see that that you know she she didn't really have a chance of coming out alive from that but but a lot of people think there was some major foul play involved of course if there was the of course England the English government has done a pretty good job of keeping a tight lid on things and making sure that that the truth has not really come out about that no I am busy it's been a simple accident but mess and that's the that's the official story for most people but a lot of people don't buy into that so anyway do research on it yourself and find out for yourself but you know at least what you can but that was a sad day when she passed away and of course Titanic there you go in 1998 President Clinton first denied that he had had an affair in with his interns in the White House and when all the details came out that he couldn't denying anymore he was forced to come out on national TV and admit it he was brought up on impeachment charges for this and he was acquitted in the Senate and a stayed in office but this was of course you know this was the scandal right and if you study more about Bill Clinton and and Hillary Clinton you will find that probably this is just the tip of the iceberg as far as scandals went from according to what you know during their years in the White House you can find all kinds of of memoirs and people that were around them that will tell you stories you know about their about their exploits anyway so but he had that he had that scandal in 1998 I who doesn't love The Price is Right but my little boy loves The Price is Right he still watches it and in fact I think he's upstairs watching it right now and The Price is Right aired it's five thousandth episode in 1998 no I'm speaking as of the end of April of 2020 and it's still on so how many episodes his price is right had now I have no idea but I mean that show will probably go on forever in 1998 baseball really needed a lift really need a boost and he got that boost in the home run race between Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa you know in 1994 they cancelled the World Series the players gone on strike they came back the next year in 95 and they and they'd been going since then but a lot of the fans didn't come back right at first and a lot of the fans were really upset with baseball and you know it was it was a tough time for the major leagues and but in 1998 Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa got into this home run race and they were hitting home like we had never seen before on just such a huge pace and they were both racing toward the single-season homerun record which at that time had been was held by Roger Maris who hits 61 home runs in 1961 before that it was Babe Ruth at 60 home runs in 1927 and so these guys just kind of captivate the bait the baseball world it brings a lot of the fans back the homeruns are flying out of the parks like crazy not just from acquire and sews but from a lot of players and you know fans loved it fans love to go see the homerun but the thing that you know we all kind of turned a blind eye to or we're just oblivious to is you know how big and strong and just how inflated these players bodies have become you know as far as just their arms were like tree trunks and and they were using steroids a lot of them were McGwire and Sosa included and which you know was it gets baseball rules but baseball wanted the fans back they needed the the television contracts they needed the fan attendance that you don't I mean and so baseball turned a blind eye to it plain and simple and McGwire and Sosa both end up breaking the 61 homerun record for that for that season of wire in fact ended up with 70 and Sosa ended up I believe was 66 but I mean just you know it really it really brought fans back to the game and so there were some positives from and of course the long-term was was negative because it was the steroid era and it really you know what kind of put a tainted baseball for a lot of the purists you know during that era but anyway it really rejuvenated rejuvenated and re-energized baseball for the time being and my favorite TV show ever Seinfeld hands in 1998 its final episode it had been going for a number of years and you know about nine or ten seasons and or so and it was it was the most-watched show on TV and so when it ends I I was a little bummed to say the least but you know that's how that's how it goes but you know it's just a TV show but it was a classic with sign Jerry Seinfeld and George Costanza and and Cosmo Kramer you know and Elaine Benes and all the other funny characters it was great Harry Potter is released in the United States in 1998 JK Rowling the British mom who'd written these you know come up with these ideas and written this series you know she hit it big over in England and then brings it to the US and you know I think she's she's right up there with the Queen as far as wealthiest women in in Great Britain and then Michael Jordan I told you he had retired in 1993 played baseball for the 94 season and part of 95 and then he he comes back uh full-time for the Chicago Bulls you know at the very I believe was very end of 95 season in 96 97 and 98 the Bulls went three more championships in a row so Jordan won in 91 92 93 and then 96 97 and 98 of course 97 and 98 we're at the expense of our beloved jazz and so that was tough to watch the Bulls beat the Jazz two years in a row in the finals but Jordan after the 98 season says well I you know I've won three more now and six and all and yeah I'm gonna retire again so he retires for the second time from basketball and people think well he's probably done for good now and no he would come back you know a couple years later and play a little more and then end up retiring for a third time after that but anyway Michael Jordan and his sport saga of course was kind of the storyline of the NBA in the 1990s so here's Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa and you know I mean they were he just hitting home runs like crazy balls were flying over the fences fans loved it people were flocking to the stadiums and baseball was back you know after after that the strike of 1994 but like I said it you know it was tainted these guys were on steroids performance-enhancing drugs and you know because of that well let's put it this way because of that both these guys would should be in the Hall of Fame based on their statistics alone but because they were using using steroids neither of them is in the Hall of Fame and a bunch of players who were good enough to be in the Hall of Fame during the steroid era that were you were using steroids and performance dancing drugs are not in the Hall of Fame today and who knows if they'll ever get in so you can see you know we loved his fans during the time it was happening but you know it was you know it was all kind of bad and all it was it wasn't it wasn't real you know it wasn't it wasn't full-on they weren't being totally honest with us right and it wasn't quite as real as it seemed so anyway bittersweet I guess and speaking of bittersweet like I said the last episode of Seinfeld airs in 1998 this was my favorite show I've seen every episode probably I don't know probably 10 times but yeah I love Seinfeld and here you go first Harry Potter books release look look at the title over there Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone right some of you might might notice something you know with that if you're big Harry Potter fans you might notice a little something different compared to the United States release of the book and in 1999 at Columbine High School in Colorado there is a mass deadly shooting with two of the students who killed their fellow classmates and that that was shocking like I said though the 90s had had this kind of stuff way too much and and it's occurred way too much since hen these tragedies you know America changed I think in the 90s that's why I say the to me the 80s I know I'm living in the glory days living in the old days but to me the eighties or not at least not as regularly in and in the nineties see it and it was just it got old so fast and we've seen it since that day or you know since since the 90s and boy it just it's the world were in now right on a positive note the USA women's soccer team wins the 1999 World Cup in a one of the classic games when the classic soccer matches ever in women's history they beat China and by penalty kicks that year and it was I mean it was super exciting the y2k scare we look back on this now and we laugh and we think are you kidding me how could how could we fall for such a thing now a lobby bid to fall forward so to speak a lot of people did y2k stands for the year 2000 and people were afraid as the calendar changed from 1999 to 2000 so December 31st 19 1999 to January 1st 2000 people were afraid that computers and the computing systems that controlled banks and you know all the shows what money you have in your account and and your name alright they controlled everything that the computers were gonna glitch out that they were gonna malfunction because you know they're not going to be programmed to lie you know to go to the year 2000 that's just and it wasn't true I mean you know there really wasn't any any big incident to speak of when the calendar changed to the year 2000 but people were freaking out I mean stocking up on food like it was the end of the world and buying up all their guns and ammo and it was gonna be Apocalypse you know and people were buying generators because they thought all the power and their house was gonna pickle out and you know all computerized and sensor controlled and and everything was gonna stop working right well it didn't stop working it kept working but people are freaking out and so it was crazy it was it was interesting ask your parents about it it was crazy um the euro currency is made in 1999 most countries in Europe especially Western Europe Central Europe were part of what's called the European Union they actually never voted to get into the European Union they were just told hey you're gonna be part of this coalition of European countries now and whatever money you used before you're getting rid of that and we're going to use what's called the euro so all the countries would have their money in common now England kept its currency called the pound and they still use that but pretty much every other European country was using the euro so that was that was a big change and Tony Hawk the legendary skateboarder lands the first 900 at the x-games of a halfpipe and of course a 360 is one revolution a 720 is - and a 900 is of course two and a half revolutions nobody never successfully landed one that we had seen and he did it at the X Games on TV and I remember watching that and that was pretty cool and then the movie The Matrix is released which is this you know futuristic well you know old technology-based movie and is you know and so a lot of people loved the matrix and it kind of changed movies you know again whereas Jurassic Park kind of revolutionized the special effects in movies The Matrix kind of changes it kind of changes the industry again and so anyway and then john f kennedy's son when President Kennedy was assassinated he had a little boy JFK jr. at the time and now JFK jr. of course has grown up and he's you know doing his own thing and and he dies a plane crash in 1999 so that family just you know are they cursed or what's going on as something because you know that family has been through more things but he dies in this plane crash on the East Coast and that was a really tragic thing so here's the euro okay what what the what the bills and the coins look like alright when they came out and that was the new medium of currency for Europe and here's Tony Hawk landing is nine hundred at the x-games there you can see the halfpipe down below on just the mass throng of fans out there to watch it but I mean this was part of the X game so they were having competitions and things anyway and then he just kind of hey he says hey I'm gonna I'm gonna do a 900 I'm gonna try a 900 he tried a couple times couldn't quite land it you know they just kept he kept trying it you know he did it four or five or whatever times and he finally nailed it and and it was you made history so there you have it them the matrix okay I like I say furthering cinematic special-effects that's released in 1999 and Keanu Reeves and some others start in that one but it was kind of kind of crazy but it definitely was different than other movies let's put it that way at the time or at least before it right so a Chinese movie business

What do you like best?

We were previously using an all-paper hiring and on-boarding method. We switched all those documents over to Sign Now, and our whole process is so much easier and smoother. We have 7 terminals in 3 states so being all-paper was cumbersome and, frankly, silly. We've removed so much of the burden from our terminal managers so they can do what they do: manage the business.

What do you like best?

I love that I can complete signatures and documents from the phone app in addition to using my desktop. As a busy administrator, this speeds up productivity . I find the interface very easy and clear, a big win for our office. We have improved engagement with our families , and increased dramatically the amount of crucial signatures needed for our program. I have not heard any complaints that the interface is difficult or confusing, instead have heard feedback that it is easy to use. Most importantly is the ability to sign on mobile phone, this has been a game changer for us.
