[Music] the whole lot an Espeon Ebola and that stands for a semi-permanent makeup by Bella so in today's video I wanted to show you how to DIY your own gift cards now the reason why I decided to do this is because I had a client asked me in lockdown if they could come in collect a gift right off me and I said yeah yeah sure come the next day and I have it ready for you and outside and when I went to check and actually find my gift cards realize that I had actually run out and that was one of my jobs to do during lockdown was to design on my new ones on dazzle or visa prim and get them printed with my new logo and then so I suddenly panicked thinking I was just coming to raise bit the mark the only way I'm going to do it is if I make my own so quickly pop to Tesco's and bought some photo paper and white card and and came home designed my layout on canva and printed it and it actually turned out pretty well so that was the outcome now I'm going to show you how I made them in this video and what exactly you need or what I use so first of all I use gorilla glue you can use any glue that's strong and super glue preferably not pretty six I feel like it would just peel off anyways I used really really really good and it's not as messy and then photo paper I said this is from Tesco's I use the Canon 13 by 18 centimeters photo paper and it looks like this and when you come into printing onto brazen paper it just enhances and makes your certificate look way better than if you were to do it on normal paper envelopes I already luckily had these at home but if you just type into eBay and I've already checked I've ordered more you can order a pack of 100 or however many they come for really cheap and then you have the envelopes so to put your gift fraud in today instead of white card I went to Tesco's and bought some gift a card and gold I'll be using a lot as it goes with my logo and then pink I'll be using them as well but it snows of other colors as well like red green like a deep purple so I thought when it's a special occasion to say if it's Valentine's Day you could put your gift cards on red glittery paper just to go with the thing so yeah and then when I actually give it to my clients I bought a load of things of eBay and that's your fifth card in the envelope just pop it in the bag and then I also bought loads of clear crystals from eBay they look like this and just past it it was so cheap you get loads in just really small handful in there get a lush really put it in there tie it up and there you have my little gift bag so instead of just giving someone a card and a gift voucher just pack it out with these lists of things to make it look like more of a present and more presentable to them and it's a bit more special then as well so that's all you need I'll tag in all the links from where I got these little bits from below so yes so I'll show you how to design them on canva and print and cut them in fibe and everything I'll show you the whole process as I was saying the way I designed my gift card was on canva oh definitely download this you can do this one you'll find it's a lot easier to play around with on your laptop but I'd highly recommend getting this app you you make your account on can burn once that's all set up go to create a design and then you want to click custom dimensions now whatever photo paper you choose mine was 13 by 18 centimetres so I'll put 18 as the width right I change this to centimeters first so then 1800 as a width and 13.00 as a height in tomatoes so you create a design and it would give you the exact dimensions to your photo paper like this once that's sorted you want to upload either your logo whatever your gonna have on your gift certificate just do a really quick example of how I did mine and how quick it took me I wanted to keep mine as simple as possible just because I don't like to over complicate here and then it just ended up spending so much time faffing around you now I then add my text and I call it a gift certificate people can call it gift cards or whatever but I just called it a gift certificate I stick to the same fonts that I use because obviously I use canva a lot on my Instagram page just to design those of info pages they always use canva all right so I'll just pop that in the middle make that really big okay then I want to add another subheading so I'm gonna put two amount from I'm gonna line them all so they're the same and then I want to add another subheading and then this is gonna be the line so I just hold shift and underscore copy and paste this twice more so then I can line it these all line up together so again you can change all the colors of this this is just how I set mine up and then have a play around you can add all of these cool little pictures so if I wanted to no flowers on there so if it's Mother's Day and I wanted to make it a bit more special and related to that occasion obviously you're not just gonna stick it there but you know I mean literally if you just have a little flip through and have a look at all these little icons they're so cute and then it's your design it's something that you've come up with have a little play around on here you can search things as well as the same we want to put a heart say it's Valentine's Day you could order your certificate with blazing little love hearts around just really I can tailor it to those occasions just to give it that bit of uniqueness so that's how I did it so then how you print it so I'm using an Apple Mac here I guess it's the same with any other PC so you just download it to your laptop again you can canned on my Mac I save it's my photos so in there and then I find it easier to print off the Photos app on the Apple Mac because it lets you choose your dimensions that you want to print it onto so go file and print click your printer envelope c6 that's just how I've set it because it gives me the dimensions 13 by 18 which is exactly what my photo paper is they click that and then Press print and then once you put your photo paper in and you've set it to the correct setting and print away and print a few at the time print each person paid ban and I've got a HP Envy seven six four zero printer pretty matters what printer you have to be honest and obviously take all the plain paper up put your photo paper the glossy side face down and then my printer has a little these thing is to help the printer understand exactly the size of the paper so I'm just push it in and then you literally just pray for the best right there you have it I don't know why it does this even though you've printed it to the dimensions it doesn't actually print the whole bit of paper so when I come to chopping it I'll just even it up to the other side and then stick this on to carve right so once you printed a few offs I'm just gonna do two today and get your piece of card you're the first card so I'm going to use gold today and then you can really glue and what you want to do is put the glue all around the edge and in the middle and then just evenly stick it to the quality corner and you will have a strip down there so don't worry about that puzzle you use that for all your freehand topping so yeah you look a really blue and it's clear as well so it's perfect any needs of roughly dip because once you stick it on you can move it around with your hands roughly dude like that you want to do is put sit corner to corner and then give it a little wiggle with your hand and slowly place it and move it if you have 2 to the power board then you want to put your next one on as well so this stuff is seriously speaking [Music] let's except for a bit there yeah you have it like that and that would be on the back so I'll just let that dry for a second okay so once it's dried we will want to talk to you so we don't you see the to pass does that some even so worried about wasting the rest of the card we can do after it's slightly printed to this size it's just to even it up I'm committing a teeny bit of that off just makes it a little bit more even like that so that is it - you get card takes minutes to do now she is so much prettier than having just printed glitter because that's what happens with dazzle and this beast of Britain I don't even know how to say understand visa friend they it shows up in theater background it's actually printed glitter and no different to getting it done professionally another one done so again so that's what it will look like and if you want to get really creative don't throw your knees away and keep them because you could always do like a tiny strip on the front here so that cuts a little bit just add a line there you could do that way or underneath through you do top bottom in the sides we do the whole size if you wanted to and I reach - rip down the side alright so there you have it strip to me designing things you getting crazy but then I love it I feel like it's my switch off time some people probably think I what's the point in going for all this effort when you can just get printed she's got the card Jesse yes it just adds that little extra something and if you wanted to pure OCD and you have to match the other side with the gifts that ribbon you could move this over to the right a little bit and stick another one there but I like the one just add a bit of something and then it's like and now so I did send to the other one so that was a bit thicker but game doesn't matter they don't all have to be the same they can all be unique so and you can tailor them to what your client wants or their whoever they're giving it to you as a gift say but they what's their favorite color you can use that as the card just go to hobby crafter something you buy loads of packs of cards or just stick to one credit it's completely up to you right so there you go thicker border or a thinner one to just let them dry here right so here are my gift cards so like I said you can use loads of different colors I've use gold today because it goes with my theme and I added the strips down the side just as a little extra instead of wasting the card stick them
