today we are going to make an Adobe digital ID for a signature for our ERC so go open up an e rc Adobe document and go find where a signature is needed so right here we see that a food service director or manager needs to put their time stamp signature for an e rc click on the Edit menu and open up the Preferences menu go locate the signatures in the categories menu and open up the more under identities and trusted certificates now it looks like we need to add an Adobe ID and we need to put that in so click on a new digital ID I want to create now and hit next leave that menu alone and click Next and now we need to enter in information for our new digital ID a timestamp ID is just an ID with all our information on it so fill in your name your organizational unit is just your title at your job and at your location your organization name is Linton's food service management and your email address is your current email address you use this part is important as the password you create you need to remember whenever you use your digital ID time stamp if you forget this password you need to create a whole new digital ID next click on your new newly created digital ID and usage options and set it as used for signing as you see the pen next to your new ID you can click OK and now your ID has been created so once you click the signature which you can see with the red tab your ID will show up click continue and now you can see that you have to put your password in whenever you use for timestamp place your password in and now you see a locked document after signing only check this checkbox if your supervisor tells you to lock the document after signing now whenever you've signed a document it will ask you to save it on your desktop or in your Documents so make sure you save your signed document here so you can send it to whoever you need to send it to so you can send it with your name or you can send it as it's signed so the person that you send it soon can know where it is now you can locate your newly signed document in the file explorer and in the desktop our documents once you click on the document now you can see your newly signed document with the time stamp and that is how you sign with the digital ID
