hey guys it's kayla so today i have a super fun video for you guys i have been planning to do a video like this for the longest time i am obsessed with watching packing videos i went through a phase once where that was like all i watched so i have so much random knowledge and random tips and tricks about packing and i just have to share them with you guys plus this week i am packing to go to my summer camp which is really exciting i've been going there for the past three years all i've been doing is thinking about packing and getting ready for my trip i leave on sunday july 19th but i am so super excited in this video i am just going to kind of pack everything make sure i have everything put everything all together in front of the camera for you guys so you can see everything i'm bringing and you can kind of get some insight about the necessities i don't know just if you're like me and you like to watch people pack and look at people's stuff and i also just want to say really quick my heart goes out to anybody whose camp was canceled this year because of kovid i truly truly am so so sorry for you guys and i really hope that you get another chance to go so with that being said let's just get on into the video with everything that i am packing for camp first i'm gonna start out with bedding because i feel like that's the most boring and nobody cares about that so for my camp you have to bring your own fitted sheet or at least it's highly recommended because bed bugs this is mine it's just white it's a twin xl just plain basic boring i am bringing two blankets so the first one is just like this tealy blue color it's actually humongous and this one is going to be for my bunk bed to sleep with this blanket it's a little bit smaller but it's really really soft it says my name on it so that's cute but this year we actually need a blanket to sit on for chapel services because we're not having those inside anymore we're having them outside just because of the coveted restrictions we can't have like that many people gathered in one room safely so yes this will be a necessity to sit on i'm bringing my own pillow of course just a simple white one and then all that stuff i'm going to be bringing in a big trash bag that's just what they recommend we bring it in and it's worked for me every year then i'm just bringing a couple towels this is boring nobody cares but this is just a plain beach towel this is just a cute pinky bath towel in case i decide i want to shower i will be showering and then i'm just bringing two face cloths now i'm going to get into like the extras stuff or like kind of stuff to do stuff to like activities first i have to show off my bible of course i'm bringing this we use this during services we also use it for morning devotionals that the camp writes for us i painted this myself so i have to show it off i can put my idea inspiration on the screen i know it's not perfect but i love it and i read the message translation i am also bringing a journal which i use to just take notes in we take sermon notes and just anything else i just always if i have my bible i have a journal too then i'm bringing my little baggie with pens and highlighters in it these are the gel highlighters that i use to highlight my bible with they're from the daily grace co i'm also bringing my favorite pens in the whole wide world the pilot g2 so there's that i'm gonna bring a book in case i need something to do if we're bored in the cabin or something i love love love this book if you're looking for a good christian read i totally recommend it's called sinners in the hands of a loving god my friend actually got this for me so shout out hannah if you're watching this i've been saving the last chapter for camp so i can have something to read there if i'm bored you might be wondering like why do you need boredom stuff well at my camp they don't let you go on your phone you're really not even supposed to bring your phone i'm gonna be bringing mine just in case for emergencies and i'm also gonna be bringing my charger too just for like an absolute emergency but otherwise i'm gonna have my phone like powered off the whole entire time which i'm actually really excited for i've been needing a phone cleanse and camp is a perfect excuse to do that but yeah so since we won't have our phones i'm bringing a disposable camera and i'm super excited about this i actually got this idea from my friend sydney she brought one last year and i was so jealous so yes i'm gonna have this you can take up to 27 photos and it's not a big deal if you like lose it or something it's gonna be super awesome just to have and take a bunch of pictures to have memories and this will actually be my last year as a camper since i'll be going into my senior year i definitely want to make sure i have all the mems i'm also going to be bringing my friends gopro shout out gabriella if you're watching this to take fun videos with cute little cinch bag it's actually not that cute but it's the only one i have so yeah it's just teal it just fits all my stuff that i'm gonna be lugging around okay now i'm going to move into snack slash food and drink stuff so obviously i'm going to be bringing a water bottle this is just an orange one my camp actually gives us water bottles which is really nice but then everybody's looks the same i'm just gonna be bringing my own and hopefully use this next i'm always so tired in the mornings i can't and i mean i feel like it doesn't really bother me because i'm at camp so you're just like in a good mood anyways you just go to bed super late for me and then don't get like the full 10 hours of sleep so i am going to be bringing yellow red bull there's four of them in here i'm kind of embarrassed but also i'm not ashamed first of all if you're a red bull drinker you need to try the yellow kind it is the best my camp also always has coffee but i'm just not a hot coffee drinker i'm bringing these larabar granola bars which i've actually never tried these before but i've heard really good things about larabar so i'm really excited they're vegan which is great for me and they are apple pie flavored these look really promising obviously they give us three meals a day but sometimes you just need a snack so i have these and then i have my skinny pop i literally can't go on a trip without this i love popcorn so much and then obviously if you don't have access to a microwave you gotta go with the pre-popped so always skinny pop never anything else it's a super healthy snack and obviously i have the sharing size to share with people in my cabin if there are no covered restrictions against that i just love my skin pop that's all i have for now for snacks i'll probably end up getting a few more things i'll probably get some like little crystal light drink packets because i love putting those in my water okay next toiletries i'm bringing two toiletry bags and i'll show you why so this is like my shower bag it's from beer bradley pretty cute but why i use it for the shower is because it has this like plastic lining on the inside so that way when your stuff is all wet from being in the shower you just throw it in there and it doesn't damage the material and then also like these little bottle things always leak on me so this little plastic lining in here is a must and then this is just a huge bag for my toothbrush toothpaste all my like morning and night routine supplies and i recommend bringing a big bag that can fit all your stuff that way you're not that girl with like her stuff all spread out across the counter and taking up all the space and also you don't have to be taking a million trips back and forth between your bunk bed and the bathroom when you're trying to get ready in the morning and bringing some dry shampoo because camp hair gets nasty you can't always shower every single night just because of the amount of people this is a must for me everything else in here is pretty boring just toothbrush contact stuff i don't normally wear makeup on a daily basis especially at camp too because it's like it's camping who cares but just in case i feel like it i'm bringing concealer and mascara but that's literally all i'm bringing for makeup and then obviously i have to bring makeup remover too that is pretty much it for my toiletries stuff i'm gonna kind of lump sunscreen into this category so i'm gonna keep all my sunscreen in this big plastic bag which i reuse these so don't even come to me i use this sunscreen for my face it doesn't cause breakouts which is awesome i just love this stuff it's from coppertone and then i have this tanning oil from sunbum which i've been using this summer and i love it so yeah i'll be bringing this for sunscreen and then obviously bug spray at camp is a necessity and it's in here because this stuff is also always leaking and i'm not about to deal with that now we're kind of getting into clothes huh yes we are yes we are okay so first let me show off my swimsuit it's super cute i just from arie this like bright orange color with some coral leaves and my camp requires us to wear a one piece so i thought this was adorable my tip for traveling with clothes is one roll them it saves so much space they're all rolled up in these cute little just rolls you got to do this if you haven't heard this before now you know it and now you have to do it every single time you pack so i'm bringing this cute orange tie-dye shirt that i made also bringing this beige shirt which this is my favorite color in the whole wide world that says jesus loves you thought that was super appropriate for camp i also have two more shirts coming in the mail i'll insert pictures so hopefully those will come before i leave but if they don't then i'll just pick some other random shirts to wear because honestly who cares about fashion it's just camp but my other thing with clothes is wrinkle spray this stuff is a lifesaver usually the rolling keeps your clothes pretty free of wrinkles but just in case this stuff is a lifesaver you just pick out your outfit the night before spray it down and this zaps all the wrinkles and it makes your clothes smell really good i also have two new pairs of shorts coming in the mail they're supposed to come tomorrow but let me just insert some pictures i'm gonna wear those with my oversized t-shirts here's just a black hoodie that i'm bringing it's all rolled up so i'm not gonna unroll it but you can just imagine a black hoodie i'm bringing this mickey mouse sweatshirt i was trying not to unroll it but it came unrolled so here we go and this is just for sometimes it's chilly in the mornings so a sweatshirt is just always a necessity and then i'm also bringing some red sweatpants because you never know when you might need some sweatpants i'm bringing some black leggings sometimes it rains so then you might just want leggings on and then i'm bringing this jacket a rain jacket just in case it rains it's just black with a hood these are my shoes that i'm gonna wear there they are super nasty and dirty so that is why they are my camp shoes it's always muddy it's always gross so don't bring nice shoes to camp i'm just bringing these bad boys they're ugly but who cares then it's also a necessity to bring flip flops for the shower or shower shoes whatever you like to wear and then also for like the pool area and stuff so i'm just bringing these they are again dirty and gross but again who cares tip with packing shoes is always pack them upside down like this on top of your clothes and then like the bottoms where it's mostly more dirty doesn't get your clothes and stuff all gross if that makes sense i don't know if this goes into clothes but i'm bringing these sunglasses they are currently broken right now because i threw my purse on them on accident but i literally love them so much and i haven't gotten to wear them anywhere this summer yet so i'm bringing these okay so that is everything that i'm bringing for camp and besides my linens and stuff i'm going to be fitting it all into this little green tub here just because covid restrictions they want us to bring a plastic tote so this is mine and i already tried packing it all in there and it pretty much fits so i think i'm gonna be able to make it work and then i also have my cinch bag which anything that doesn't fit in my tote i can just put in there and call it good i hope you guys enjoyed seeing everything that i'm packing for camp if you're also going to a camp or
