right side up within the company name and the address the phone number and the email I woke up in the domain calm and then we select all of those and make them font size 14 and for the company name I'll make that bold then I'm gonna select B 7 and when the employee and then putting the employee name so I just used Jim Smith the employee number and I just put in that and in a week starting and I'll put in the six of me 2019 so I'm in the UK so we put the day first in the month in the year and then in b11 Hawkwind instructions and I'll type in inter I was using the 24-hour clock eg 9:00 a.m. is over 960 m is 1804 breaks in 30 minutes as 0 0 : 30 then set the headings and then that special underneath instructions right click and I set the fill to the darkest gray in the first column and I'm going to set the font color to white and I want to remove the gridlines and put in some borders so I'll go to view deselect gridlines and for the first block of data I'll select c7 to d9 right click format cells and under border I'm going to select the default style is fine and for color I choose the 3rd grade down outline and horizontal border in between cells and click OK and then for the instructions I've got all the way from C to G and then right click format cells and for the border again the default is fine outline and for the color I'm going to choose the third graders world and then select outline and then okay I want these ought to be left aligned so I'll go to home left a line for the week starting I don't like this I wanted to show the day and then the day is a number and the month and the year so I'm going to right click format cells under number I'm gonna choose custom I'm putting DDD to three T's to show the day as three letters then D D to show the day as numbers and then three M s to show the month as three letters and therefore wise to show the year and I'm going to click OK and in b14 I'm going to put in the hedges for the actual timesheet area so I'll go for day of week time in break time out total hours and overtime you know select all of those and make them bold I'm going to make the font size 14 and I'm going to make it middle aligned and Center plus 1 so equals that date plus 1 and I'm going to use a week from Monday to Sunday so I just drag this down so that we get Sunday just like that and again I don't want this formatting I want it slightly different I'm just going to right click format cells and this time what I want is the day as three letters but by the day is a number - and then three M's for the month just like that I'm gonna left to line those I'm gonna put in some sample time in so I just used only 900 control hit return but break I use 30 minutes and if a time out I use five o'clock which is 1700 just like that so four total hours we want a formula so that's going to be equal to open bracket the Tynemouth minus the time in o to bracket minus the break I'm going to hit return now that formula works fine but what happens for example if someone forgets to put the time in so let's just delete that and then we get some incorrect hours and saying if for example they forget to put the time out and again we get something incorrect information so we're going to modify this formula and make a little bit more sophisticated so we're going to put in after the equals give open bracket or open bracket time in is empty equals quote quote or time owl is empty closed bracket then we want to see nothing so quote for a comma otherwise go ahead and do our formula and then we'll just close that in bracket and hit return and we can then drag that down so the overtime will be completed by the employees so I'm just going to format it as hours first so I'm going to set the range right click format cells and under number I'm gonna say custom and I'm going to select hours and minutes and click OK and just as an example I would put in one hour for all of them just like that and let's go ahead and format this table a bit so I set the whole table right click format cells border and I'm going to choose to color the third grade down outline inside and okay for the headings I want unlike gray so I choose the lightest gray there is just like that and I wasn't the same for every other line in this table so I just go ahead and select those just like that and total that was an overtime I want bold I want scented and I want font size 14 and I want these times to be centered as well just like that and four total hours so that they stand out a bit what I'll do I'm you're gonna change a bit I'm gonna set the whole range right click and say the light is grey but for these ones just so that we can steal that always onto a background being a bit different I'm gonna select them and I'm going to right click and I'm gonna choose that great it's the lightest gray after that black and just like that that way we can see a distinction between the horizontal and the vertical lines as well so now we need some summations so what I'll do is I'll put in total here and I'm going to put in a sum equal sum I'm going to select these total hours I'm going to drag that formula across just like that now you can notice straight away that there are more than four and a half hours here so what's gone wrong and the way is that when you're summing over 24 hours you need to set a specific format so I'm going to right click format cells and under custom it says hours and minutes like that is a different one we've got hours minutes and seconds and the Owls are in square brackets so I'll select there I don't want a second so I just delete those and click OK and that will give you fifty two and a half hours as a sum of that they say they're working five days a week so I just delete those and you get day seven and a half that's fine so I'm going to select one of those centreline make it bold to make it 14 and for the background I choose the lightest grade there and format cells and adding a border just like that I want them to be middle aligned just like that let me just remove those as well and I actually want to send her those just like that so let's move down a bit and now we want some sort of managerial authorization to be shown but in be 2500 of putting a manager and in a signature and then over here I'll put date and I'll say all of those and I want them to move to the line and I want the background to be that light gray I'm gonna select that selection all my cells and put border around it like we put water around it okay and I also want there to be a line here I'm gonna right-click pull myself or that border on the right side of that cell as well I use that to format that one I can also use it to format this one and that one again I want a border and same for that last one just like that and the other thing I want to do is I don't like the way that this manager is so close to that left edge and st. allistic in the current date so I'll select all of those I can do that selection by holding down ctrl and then selecting all three of them and then just from the alignment I'm going to hit this increase indent and that would just move it a little bit to the right okay so I got one more box that I want I'm just going to go ahead and select that range right click format cells and this time I'm going to use the same color I'm going to make it a bit thicker and then outline and then okay and this one I want to be a light gray and I'm going to enter in the mission information and I'm gonna put in some your energy on Monday after the weekends to be paid on time and I want this to be bold font size full gene middle aligned and I want this one to be middle aligned as well I think that's it I think that's the time sheet done so as with any document we also want to be able to print this so what I'll do is I'll select the whole time sheet including that the margins that we created just like that I'm gonna go to page layout for my margins I always want an arrow and then I'm gonna select print area set print area and they're gonna go to file print and then we can see it looks fine but the bottom bit where we've got this submission information has been cut off so under settings under the scaling I'm going to put in fishy on one page and that will put everything nicely on one Paige if you want to play around with the margins to get a little bit more centered in the bottom right we can just select the margins and we can move the left one a bit to the right and I will just shift everything into the center just like that so let's go back okay so we're just gonna go through it to make sure everything is fine okay so let's just get rid of the sample information you can see straight away what's happening with our day of week well it's nashing Saturday zero zero Jan so this is zero and then this is Sunday zero one Jan so it's done zero plus one to give you a one so let's go ahead and resolve that so what we'll do is we change the formula equals if c9 equals MT so double quote comma and just make that cell empty otherwise show c9 close the bracket just like that and now we've got these values here that's fine what would do is type in if ever the be fifteen plus one plumber double quotes to make it blank close the bracket and hit return and we can just copy that and select those cells right click and paste the formula and that's fine that makes a day a week empty if we don't have anything there and the next thing we want to do is of course remove that sample data and I just know it just noticed a mistake just like that and
