What do you like best?

We are a travel company that needs to have clients and hotels signing the same contract. We used to have to send it via email and have both parties print, sign and scan/email the documents. This process often took a very long time and a lot of following up. Now, we use Sign Now and it we upload it and send it out one time, and the rest is taken care of for us!

Esigning tiff

so another big new feature that we have in zebra 7 is the processing of PSD files and TIFF files with layers in the options tab you will find a new section here Photoshop PSD and TIFF conversion and I'll show you sample documents this document has a few layers as you can see here for example there's a layer for the color logic logo inside for the fruit bowl and as well for the text areas here and as you can see on the channels it is a sim like a document and it has two spot colors so when converting PSD file or tiff file with layers typically the layers will be done after the conversion so that's how C brought six worked in the past and all the versions of zebra and how nearly all tools in the market that do color conversion are handling such files so they will convert just a compatibility layer and not the layers itself which is fine because that's the correct way of color converting such documents however it could be for example in packaging and designing such objects that color conversion and layers should be put together so that layers are retained and there you find those options there's one for retaining layers if possible and we have a few removing options so one could be to remove the layers but keep the transparency you have a document something which we hadn't in the past so again a new feature to remove the layers and add a transparency channel that's something which is important for clients using ESCO workflows because they do similar things and the ESCO workflow or to remove the layers without any transparency this is how a cebra 6 was working I would just like to show you what's happening when I do this kind of conversion and I just opened the folder in the output I have already converted that file a few times so keep transparencies retain there's an dead channels here we go if you look at the layers here if we have the option remove the layers and keep transparency we will see it is converted to pierce a coded version 3 that's all fine the layers have been removed and the transparency is still there so that's the one option the other option is which will flatten the document but we'll add the transparency as a different channel this is as I mentioned important for some ESCO workflows because they make use of this transparency channel there and for those applications you can use that and the other one which is to retain the layers during conversion meaning you'll see that all the layers are still inside the file there's one thing which I would like to show you special feature of zebra which is when we do spot color conversion of such a file so remember this document has two spot colors two Pantone 199 and a 1/16 that's this yellow and that's the red as well if we do the conversion and retain layers see the spot colors are converted and they are converted to the symbol K and in the layers there are two additional layers for the converted spot colors so you can enable and disable and you see that the red and the yellow is converted to CMYK but with this two layers you have the possibilities to later undo some editing in those layers for the spot colors and that's as well the reason not only this but as well as limitation Photoshop wire we have called this option to retain layers if possible because it's not always possible to do that especially if we do a conversion to multicolor if the target color space is multicolored then we cannot retain layers that's not because we don't want to it's because Photoshop has a limitations because a spot color can not be on a layer that's one of the biggest disadvantages of Photoshop and due to that we have to flatten or to remove the layers now so when we do conversion to multi-car then retaining layers is not possible that's the only disadvantage that we have currently here in that tool or that Photoshop in general has when it comes to multicolor conversion so you see a lot of functionality is here in terms of PSD and Tiff's a conversion for tiff perhaps one important information TIFF and layers that's as well a Photoshop functionality layer in the TIFF file is not a defined standard that might be useful in other applications or Adobe applications can make use of layers and TIFF files other applications outside the Adobe products may not use that because it's Adobe in Adobe functionality the layer functionality so within the Adobe world the Adobe applications this functionality works quite well
