hello good morning all today in this video we are going to discuss regarding how to set a default value for a field using context so currently in the screen you are seeing od version 14 community edition we are continuing our auto 14 development tutorials so for illustrating this example i have made some change inside the hospital module so if you go to the hospital module here you can see i have added two more menus that is male patients and female patients so i have add two more menus and set its domain accordingly so if you click on male patients you will be seeing only male patients and if you click on female patients you will be seeing only females so if i go to the pycharm and if i open om hospital module and inside the views folder i have added a new file called patient gender view dot xml and i have imported it inside the manifest file so i have added two new menus inside this file so here you can see this is the first menu that is male patients and this is the corresponding action and inside the action i have set the domain as gender equal to male and this is the second menu which is female patients and this is the domain that i have given that is gender equal to female so what i have done is i have simply added two more menus under the patients that is male patients and female patients so what we will be discussing in this video is that suppose if i go to the hospital patients female patients and if i try to create a new record here you can see by default the gender is coming as male so we will be seeing how we can set suppose if i am accessing from female patients menu i need to get the gender as default gender as female so let's see how we can do that that is how to set a default value using context that is currently if you go to the mail patients and if you open the record by default the gender is coming as male and same if you go to the female patients and if you open you can see the default value is coming as male so this default value is currently coming from the python so if you go to the patient dot py file and if you search for the gender field so this is the model hospital dot patient and if you check the gender field you can see we have set the default value as male so that's why when we access from female patients as well as male patient the default value is set to mail because inside the python we have set it as male so what we will be discussing is how to set the default value as female when we access from the female patients so...
