what's going on everyone so it's Thursday morning and it's raining outside um we had like a 20% chance for rain today and we got a good little system moving through that's going to last until oh probably about 1:00 so this is one of those interesting time frames where I find myself having going to get caught up on office work on a day where I didn't schedule for it so rain's here got to get something done might as well get office work done um and I'm just going to kind of show off uh the the software I use and kind of my my invoicing process here so uh this is yard book uh yard book is the software I use and I'm able to draag draft invoices and um put it on an automatic draft so I can schedule you know that I'm going to be on the yard you know every 40 days and uh at that 40-day Mark it'll come up in my jobs tab for today and then you know once it's done I can hit done and then I can go to invoices and it will list all my invoices and I can print them or email them to customers you know however you want to go about doing it um I'm trying to get more into the paperless billing where I email invoices and allow them to pay online it's just easier for me than to have to you know at this point uh say I have to print all the invoices then I got to stuff all the envelopes I got to stamp them and then I got to take them to the post office and if I'm mailing out you know in a week's time frame 100 invoices or you know 50 60 invoices that takes a significant amount of time to stuff those invoices to stamp them which cost a lot of money and then get them to the post office so I like doing the payerl system where you know just a couple clicks boom I can shoot an invoice and uh allow them to pay online uh but of course there's some people that still want the old paper invoice and so anyway I'm just going to show that off where I'm using the exposure on this is absolutely horrible but uh but I use yard book to get that done the great thing about yard book is that it's free um and when I say free I literally mean free doesn't cost anything there's a learning curve to it but they've got a lot of tutorials including videos to teach you how to use it to maximize its potential I'm probably utilizing about 30% of yard books features just because I do not have the time to sit down and learn the ins and outs of it uh one day I'd love to uh but just right now I don't have time to get it all figured out so this is what I'm doing on a rainy day this is probably my least favorite thing to do in the entire world I can't stand it um I'd rather be welding or trying to learn how to weld but uh unfortunately this is part of it if you don't send out invoices you don't get paid uh so anyway that that's what's going on today thanks y'all
