[Music] hey there guys melissa here i'm going to do a video on this because there are several steps that i think are important in using essentials to merge and add personalization and i can get several little tips into one video i've got everything i think in the screen that i want to show you you'll need to see some of the buttons up top and the properties um window as well as the objects window so this is the fob that i made last night i don't know if you can see the problem with it that i notice right off and that is the pool compensation of the detailing of this font check out how i kind of chewed up the vinyl that i used and i want to show you how to increase pool compensation to get a better result i'm not going to stitch it out this time i don't really have time and i don't really need another key fob but i just want to show you what i do in the software to professionally set up the key fob with a merged element okay so the first thing you're going to do is you can either go up to file and hit open and navigate to a folder and choose your file that you want to use i already have um over here on the side of the screen i already have my folder open with the large applique uh fob so i'm just going to click on the pes because that's the one i like to use i also like to use those in my videos rather than using my working file because i want to show you how it looks when you do it and not just add things with my working file that's kind of cheating so here is what you would have just drag it over and drop it this is what you will see when you purchase this design so this is what you'll see when you buy the file drag and drop it over to your software you can go up here to the objects and expand it and you'll see there's the placement there is the that's the placement for the fob placement for your applique um tack down for applique satin stitch decorative stitch and finally the finishing bean stitch okay so using essentials i'm going to make one with some other letter on it how about an r so i clicked on the a up here it says create letters that's how you add personalization so then i come down here and i type in an r and you'll see that it changes to the default font that comes up included in your software is a block font when you open this window down here to choose your font you'll see some of them are like a lilac color um that those are native fonts that came to you in your embryonic software just...
