Print client ordered
Hi everyone!! Welcome to my channel, I hope u guys are having an awesome day!! In this vid I'll be showing u guys all the packaging supplies that I use to package and fulfill the orders for my Etsy shop! And I'll be doing a demo of packaging an order at the end! So if you're interested, stay tuned! And yeah, let's get started right away :) So first, in terms of mailers and envelopes, I use 2 different kinds. The first are these Flat Mailers that I got from Uline! I use these mainly for prints, and other things that I need to make sure to keep super flat during shipment! And usually my envelopes don't fit my prints bc they're a bit too big so these are perfect! And yeah, these are awesome and come in a huge qty! The next thing I use are these Kraft Envelopes by Ohuhu that I got on Amazon! Comes in a pack of 150, and these are pretty much my go-to for for any sticker sheets or packs! Most of my orders go in these (most of my orders are stickers!) I stabilize the envelope with a piece of chipboard (also from Uline) And I also use the chipboard for many others things! I use them to stabilize the backs of my prints that I package in glassine bags to keep them sturdy! The chipboard also comes in a huge pack/qty! I use it for a lot of diff things! I use it anytime I need to stabilize or add a bit more structure to my orders/packages! Okay so if you're on my TikTok, you're probably familiar with this! LOL It's the vellum paper that I use to package my orders :) All the stickers, prints, and anything that a customer buys, will be put into a lil bundle inside vellum paper! I basically just bought a whole stack of 8.5x11 vellum paper on Amazon! Then all I do is print out my own design with normal print settings at home! And for the smaller size, I just cut the full sheet in half! So then I have a big sheet for prints/large sticker sheets, and a smaller size for sticker packs, etc! Okay so, here is my water-activated tape that I got from Sticker Mule! It's my own custom design of my lil Ivy Tart strawberries! And the way I prepare is I kind of measure it to match the length of the envelope, then I slice it down with my paper slicer, then slice it in half width-wise! And I use this lil spray bottle with water, and I spray the tape to activate the adhesive on the back! Then I stick it onto my envelope and its perfecto! Here are a bunch of my diff packaging stickers! I designed them on Procreate and then I just print them and cut them w/ my Silhouette Cameo! And I use these to seal the glassine bags that my sticker packs and other products are packaged in! The glassine bags are great, and recyclable! I like the look :) I also make my own "Do Not Bend" and "Happy Mail" stickers to put on the outside of the mailers/envelopes! Makes the outside packaging a little more recognizable! I also designed these "Thank You" stickers to seal the bundles w/ the vellum paper! I also use this twine from Michaels to bundle up everything! And these washi tapes and dispensers are from Amazon! This is a custom stamp that I got with noissue as part of our collaboration! Thank u so much noissue for sending this stamp to me :) I designed this stamp so that I could use it on the outside of my envelopes to brand it a lil bit more! I think it turned out really nice, I really like the design I created :) I also have this Happy Mail stamp that I actually won from their giveaway on TikTok which was purely luck LOL I love this stamp too :) This is their self-inking stamp, it's pretty cool! I use it on the corner of my envelopes now instead of making stickers! I really like both these items :) I enjoy using them! I also include a Thank You card with all my orders. I got a few of them made w/ noissue as well as part of our collab! They're great, I really like them! :D I also have some by Vistaprint too! Along w/ stamping the outside of the envelope, I put these Please Do Not Bend stickers on the envelopes! I think both the stamp and the stickers are super cute options! When I'm ready to send everything off, I take a stamp off this stamp coil (dispenser from Canada Post too) And yeah that's pretty much how I prepare my envelopes :) And in terms of shipping labels, I print everything w/ my Dymo LabelWriter 450! I got this on Amazon when it was on sale for like 100 bucks I know the labels are smaller than typical shipping labels! But I've personally never had a problem with barcodes/shipping labels not scanning! It's worked fine for me :) So I can recommend it bc it's cheaper than other thermal printers and it does it's job! So I have no complaints about it - it's a great lil addition to my shop! I'm about to package some orders, Im gonna show u guys how I set up my desk to prep! I keep this space super clear bc it's where I package the orders... However, on the side here is where I put a lot of stuff (stickers, packaging supplies) I usually will grab stuff from diff areas in my room and bring them here! Typically I keep all my sticker packs in these drawers, but usually I pack orders in bulk! So I just pull the drawers out and stack them off to the side so they're easy to grab! I usually also pull out the bin that holds my prints and sticker SHEETS** (oops I said packs) just so it's easily accessible as well! All the way down here on the bottom shelf of my utility cart, I keep a bunch of my package supplies! I usually will pull these out too This one has my Thank You cards, and underneath is my packaging tape! So I usually put it on my desk too! Just keep it off to the side here :) I always grab this bin that holds my twine, and Thank You stickers, and some markers and stuff that I use for packaging! Put that right here right next to everything else. I usually just grab the twine and keep it right next to me instead! I always keep an empty bin that I use to throw away scraps of twine, or little bits of paper or w/e trash or recycling I produce while packaging so it's not a mess on my desk LOL I need a pair of scissors! Next to my desk I have this lil ottoman. I have 2 bins sitting right here to hold my packaged orders. One for Chit Chats, and one for Canada Post! I separate it while I'm packaging just so it's easier for me later when I sort all the orders! I also keep this tray of the vellum paper and packaging stickers on the ottoman for easy access too! And last but not least, I usually keep my bin of confetti (that's kinda run low right now oops) right next to me, but I usually keep that right here so I always remember to put the confetti into the packages! So with all of that here, I'm pretty much ready to start packaging now! And on my computer, I just keep my Etsy Shop manager open so I can see the orders! And typically I would write all my Thank You cards ahead of time, it makes it easier for me while I'm packaging since I package in bulk! So I usually take some time the previous day to just write out the Thank You cards ahead of time! It saves me a lot of time so I recommend it if you package in bulk too! Im getting ready to package an order now, so Im gonna walk u through it so u can get a pretty good idea of how I do things! So first and foremost, I will lay out a piece of vellum paper that is appropriate for the order! The order I'm packaging rn is an order for my Lunar New Year + Strawberry Treats packs... So for these smaller orders of just sticker packs (not prints/large sticker sheets) I just use this smaller vellum paper - just an 8.5x11 sheet cut in half! Then I will go into my bins and grab the items I need! She ordered a Lunar New Treats pack, so I have that! And then grab a Strawberry Treats pack bc she ordered that too! So then I will take the vellum paper and fold up an edge at the bottom so that it holds everything in place... Oh I should mention that I always fold the paper w/ the vellum paper upside down, so that when u fold the vellum paper to the front, it shows the logo the right way! Of course if I did it this way (the paper right side up), it would show the logo backwards/inverted! All I do is fold up one of the bottom edges like 1-2 cm just so it has the a place for all the stickers to sit inside! And then I take the stickers and line them up and make sure they're together. Then I put them all the way down against the edge that I just made And then at the top, I just make sure it's nice and tight, and then crease the top! Then I kind of center them on the paper, and then I fold in the side, keeping them tight against the sides of the sticker packs! And then I do the same to the other side!! Then we have this! Then I always take my confetti, grab a lil bit of it, and sprinkle it inside of the package! I just continue folding... There's 2 little flaps at the top+bottom that I've created from folding the paper. I kind of tuck them into each other (if that makes any sense) So basically it creates a nice clean finish on the edges! And I do it to both the top and bottom of the package... just tuck the pieces into eachother, and flatten it out so it sits nice and flat! I take a sheet of my Thank You sticker, and peel one off! Then I will just stick it in the center of the package where the seam is so that it's nice and bundled up I created this cardboard guide for myself to measure how long the twine should be! I basically just measured for both sizes of packages and then I just figured out that for large one I need to wrap it 3x around, and for the lil one I wrap it twice! So this one is a small package, so I will take my twine and I feed it into the lil notch on the guide. And then I just wrap it around twice! Of course I will take my scissors and snip it! To wrap the twine, I lay the twine down like this! I take the package and place the right side of the package on top of the twine! Take the two ends, make sure they're even of both sides of the package. Tie a simple knot, then bring the knot all the way down to the package Then you'll have a little cross at the back and then I hold onto the twine and flip the package right side up! Take one end of the twine, and feed it underneath the first loop/piece of twine! Then the other side of the twine, and feed it underneath again, but this time to the other side. So that the two ends are side by side Then I will tie a simple knot and make sure it's tight. This is when I line up all the sides to make sure they're centered! Then I tie a bow! With my left hand, I will take the left piece of twine, and I grab it with my thumb + index finger, and wrap it on top of my index finger nail... With my right hand, I will bring the right piece of twine behind my left finger, and then once it's behind... I will bring it forward, on top of the loop that I already made... And then I feed it through the hole, and grab it with my left hand, and pull! It's really hard to explain how to tie a bow bc I feel like it's hard to show/demonstrate it LOL It lays pretty flat, I don't rly like doing the "bunny ears" method of tying the bow bc I feel like it makes it too thick If the ends of the twine aren't perfectly even, I just trim it up a bit! And yeah there's the lil bundle! :) I usually will take a couple pieces of washi tape and tape the twine down to the actual packaging! (I'll show u guys why I do that in a sec) That's how the little bundle looks by the end of it :D Okay so I have my Thank You card here! And on my Thank Cards I always include an Ivy Tart strawberry freebie sticker w/ every single order! And then I will grab an envelope! All my envelopes are already prepared w/ the stamps, the Do Not Bend sticker, and I already put the chipboard in there too I will take the package and put the Thank You card on top of it, so that it flattens it more. And so that both sides have a piece of cardboard and reinforcement! Then I just slide the into the envelope! Btw the reason I why I put the tape on the sides, is bc I know that my sticker pack is going in like this... This might seem kinda extra, but basically sometimes when the twine is on the side, as it is being pulled out of the package, it gets stuck on the edge of the envelope... Just kinda gets caught and ruins the opening experience a lil bit. So I just like having it there bc then it comes out of the envelope nicely! So yeah, sandwich everything, and put it into the envelope! And pull off the lil paper adhesive thingy and then close up the package :) Next thing I do is use this Ohuhu Alcohol Based Marker (got it in a huge set). I use the brush side to write down the name of the recipient on the package! And I usually put a heart and some little sparkles :) The last step of packaging is taking a strip of my packaging tape. I use a lil spray bottle that used to have glasses cleaner or something LOL and I use it to activate the tape (bc it's water-activated) Im gonna do this off camera bc its way too close to my keyboard so one second LOL *spraying sounds* Okay so now it's all saturated with water. U just need a couple of spritz to get it damp, and then I will stick it along the seam of where the envelope closes! I know it already has adhesive, but I think the tape is nice for extra reassurance and also I think it looks nice bc it matches my branding and everything :D That's how I package orders!! Then I will just stick this in the Chit Chats bin if it's a US/international order or if it's a Canadian order, I'll put it in the Canada Post bin! I usually will label with address labels and stamp them in bulk as well, after I'm done packaging everything! And that is all the things I use to package my orders, and how I package my orders!! I hope that was helpful for u guys! If u have any q's please comment down below :) Im also super active on TikTok, and pretty active on Insta too, so if u have any q's u can always shoot me a msg there, and I can try my best to answer the q's for u!
