[Music] hello friends welcome back to my channel my name is ankush in this lecture we are going to learn about one more interesting topic in the oracle database and we called it as a table point in time recovery let's try to understand what is this but before that let me tell you about what was the problem that you were facing initially let's assume that there is one customer is there u1 okay and there is one table called t1 this table is really really important okay now somehow what happened someone deleted this table okay this user deleted the table now this user or you can call it as a client also okay this client is coming back to the dba team and they are saying that high debate team can you please help me to restore this table because this table is really important so that's the point now assume that i have arm and backup i have rman backup if i have armand backup what we used to do like we will use this rmn backup and will restore our database but again when you are restoring our database there is a chances that you may lose some data and you know your database will not be available there so only for the table only for the single table it was not worth to you know restore your database and we also called it as a database point in time recovery database pointing time recovery so that option was there but only for one data only for one table to get recover we are going on the database level and where the database will also not be available and downtime will be there and we may lose some data this database point in time recovery will not be helpful for us so starting from oracle 12c they have introduced one more concept we called it as a table point in time recovery table point in time recovery to understand this concept in more detail what i will do i'll create one scenario let's assume that i have one table called t1 in that table i have some records okay so there are some records are there now this is the time let's assume that this is 9 10 am i have a record available here and after that i have taken a backup also so i'll take arm and backup arm and backup let's say that i have taken this backup by 9 11 am after that i am going to drop this table just to create a scenario drop table we drop the table by 9 15 am now what i want this team your client will come back to the dba team and they'll say that but i want this table i want this table because the table got dropped and table is not available in the recycle bin also in that case if i have a arm and backup i can still...
