hi everyone this video is really just for in case I ever forget which I shouldn't and for others that I work with that want to learn how to read line their document now the environment I'm in of course as you might be able to see is the OS X Mac environment it's Mavericks 10.9 point five and I am using Microsoft Word I believe 2011 version think anyways when you open a document for the first time excuse me you won't have this here on the slide this plane typically not always but witless defendants you're going through a script like I'm going through now for our group motion production ninjas and I need to make changes to or want to suggest changes while still keeping the original script intact and so that the changes that I make are easily trackable what you do is you go over to your review tab and when you make a chain or when you want to start making changes there's a track changes option right here see it's off right now but if I want to track my changes I turn that on because I'm recording the screen right now it's going to lag a little bit alright now once this once that's there what that once that happens watch what happens so if I take out that it then says I deleted that I'm going to go ahead and undo that change a change and then now let's say friends I made a change but I want to make a comment so let's say for instance this there was a space between outside so I can just say right here is made the comment grammar correction and then that's it so that's how you make comments you can just by clicking new only click new once you have an item selected you have to have an item selected first because if you click new whatever your cruiser is that's where a little and are common so let's say for instance we have a lot of different people working essentially what will happen is you'll see everyone's additions over here on the side and you'll see their different names so my name is here it will show the date and time that I made those changes and this is a fantastic feature of Microsoft Word I just I absolutely love it and it really it does help when you're working on a script for production and and keeping track of the changes and and just collaborating effectively on a on a script that you're producing with the group and the other thing too is like Google Docs isn't really as nice and see Google Docs you have to click in the top right and to see what the changes were made you can get comments on each individual word but where Microsoft Word just has a really better set up for this however it's not a live edit type of thing which be great if we had this kind of a setup with a live editing system like in Google Docs well that concludes my video I hope this was helpful to you and take care please subscribe
