Rename initial story
welcome back in the previous video we learned how to group stories in version 5.3 although the code remains the same in version 6 the ui however is slightly different so in the stories file we still add a forward slash to group both the stories under a form heading but in the ui in version 5.3 we would see them grouped under a collapsible folder in version 6 though by default the title group is displayed in a much more prominent way so you can see we have form all in uppercase and under this grouping we have button and input stories if you have another grouping level though you would see the same behavior as version 5.3 so back in vs code if i add form slash control slash button you can see that for control we have the collapsible folder so this is a slight ui change from version 5.3 to version 6 which i wanted to point out now the purpose of this video is more than that in version 6 it is now possible to rename stories so in input.stories.js file i can add small dot story name is equal to small input small is the story and to the story name property we assign the new name if we now take a look at the browser you can see that the story has small input as its name so you now have the flexibility of adding a bit more descriptive story name while not having to bother about the story export name the last bit of information i want to provide is regarding the order of the stories i'm sure many of us would prefer if the stories were sorted in some order for example i would prefer if the stories were alphabetically sorted so button and then input if you go to the docs and under writing stories click on naming components and hierarchy scroll down a bit and you're going to come across a section on sorting stories here copy the options object and back in vs code in preview.js paste it after the actions property now your stories will be sorted alphabetically button and then input all right that is a quick update on renaming and sorting stories in version 6. i'll see you guys in the next video
