hey guys CLO Shepard here now how often have you needed to rename either a bunch of images or convert them all to the same file type well today I'll be showing you how to do with a free piece of software called orphan view now as far as renaming them goes one thing you could do is you could select them all press f2 and rename them but as you see all the file types have their own numbers which doesn't work out very well so to solve this problem just go to our from view comm and you can see in the top right there it's there's a download button just click that choose your favorite mirror I'm just going to use C net here from download calm and just download and save it to somewhere on your computer and once it's downloaded install it okay now it's installed if we just search in the Start menu for orphan View and open up the application on the left hand side there just browse to the folder containing the image you want to do just select them all right click and go rename now I'm going to convert and rename the files so under name pattern change where you want each image to be called and use the hash symbols as what the numbers will go to and then in there options you can change the quality settings and such and if you go to Advanced you can do more advanced options such as cropping resizing changing effects and such and once you're ready just make sure and the bottom there you've added all your files and then under output directory set we want the files to go too I'm going to put it under a folder called results and once you finish that just click start batch and it'll go through all the images okay now if we just go back to the folder and there should be a folder called results there it is and you can see now all the images are been named awesome merge one awesome image two and so on and they're all the same jpg file type so thanks for watching guys consider subscribing to see my next videos and thanks again
