hi friends my name is akhil Ahmad and in this particular video tutorial I will show you how to rename a file in Escape task using ssis so recently I got a question from one of my subscriber and he asked like how to change or update a file name in ssis package using script task so let's jump to the demo in my D files location if you can see IO customer dot CSV file okay so I want to rename this file customer dot CSA with another name so let's see how we can do that so this is my blank ssis package that I will be using today and because we need to use the script us to rename the file so I can just drag and drop the script task into the control flow window and then I can right click and configure the script task the scripting language is C Sharp so that's fine I can click on edit script now so initially I will show you just rename the file with a hard coded value and then maybe I can just use the ssis variables to get the file name so the script editor window has been opened up and we need to write our code here there is just one line of code which can actually rename the file so because we need to rename the file so there is a class file class which you can use to deal with the files and folders okay so we need to add the namespace here using system.io so I can write using system dot IO here input output okay so you just need to add this line and now what we can do we can write the code here file dot move so it will move the file from old name to the new name so we need to provide the file path of the current file okay so our file path is this one D file customer dot CSV okay so this is the current name of the file so we can just paste it here and so in the C sharp language if you are going to use the backward slash in the double quotes then you can put a at the red sign before the double quotes Okay so this particular method file dot move method it needs two inputs so the first input is the input file path so we have provided the input file path now in the comma we need to provide the dust file path as you can see so we can provide the dust file path as well so I can just simply copy this whole value from here and I can just paste the whole value here now instead of the test file name as customer maybe I can provide anything here like email here email dot CSV and then I can end this line with a semicolon because in the C sharp language you...
