in today's show we're going to learn how to power apps filter multiple data and so we're going to do is we have some selection boxes and we're going to talk about how to filter your data if you check all the boxes and anything matches or if you check a bunch of boxes and only the things that exactly match what you check so we're gonna talk about both sides of that coin but really just trying to dive in and look at some complex topics that allow you to make this a nice simple user interface but first here's our intro hi my name is shane young with powerapps 911. those guys and today we're going to talk about filtering data and what we're going to do is we're going to filter multiple selections so we're going to set up a scenario where we have a bunch of check boxes and then if you choose three or four of the check boxes then we're going to show you a way to filter the data so you show anything that matches any of the check boxes or if you choose those three or four boxes show you how to filter it so that you only match things that exactly match what you just chose so this just kind of comes out of some customer requirements so you know i'm going to show you the way their data was set up the problem i had to solve and how i solve it and to do this we're going to use some for all we're going to do some in we're also going to introduce group by which we have not covered very much here so hopefully you guys enjoy kind of learning some of that and then if you stay tuned all the way to the end i'm going to circle back because we're going to use a formula in here and we're just going to use it the way that i wrote it but at the end we're going to go back and break down and explain to you kind of why i wrote it that way and just tear it apart a little bit not because it's really like relevant to what we're going to build it's just i think it's a great opportunity to talk to you guys a little bit about how i break things apart and how i put it together so fast and i don't know i don't want to get off topic of this so that's why we're going to show that at the end blah blah blah blah blah blah let's switch over to my desktop and take a look okay so over here on my desktop i thought i would just kind of show you guys firsthand what it looked like what we're going to build and so here you can see that i've chosen pet in boswell over here on the right this is just all the raw data so...
