hey how you doing this is tom and this is tom's radio room show and i got another scanner that i found a bunch of scanners up on the shelf and this is one of them this one is a bearcat 250. now they made a series of these it came out by late 70s and the first one it came out as i recall was a bearcat 210 and it could store up to 10 frequencies this is the 250 which came out subsequently and it could store up to 50 frequencies big upgrade i don't remember the cost probably 150 dollars i'm guessing here you can let me see if i can tilt it up a little bit here you can select whether you want to scan 10 20 30 40 or 50. and then other buttons up here um you could designate a channel as a priority channel you could set a dis delay i think it was five seconds you could add that when it was scanning you would delay on that particular channel for five seconds or something like that and then you could lock out a channel if it turned out that that channel is just noise or it's not something interested anymore you can lock out that channel at a search function you could search between two frequencies have it scanned through that and it had a store capability that it would search and store here's the store button that once you punched in a frequency and you selected a memory location hit store and it would store that into the memory which i just did i just stored in memory location 1 162.450 so that function is working fine and then over here you could have it show you time show you that count the number of times it hit particular frequency the speed you could change the speed it was uh like five channels per second to 15 channels per second run really fast you go into a scan mode and then you could manually step through the frequencies volume and squelch it had a auto squelch position that supposedly would listen to the noise and detect where it's shut sure where it should set the squelch had a removable telescopic antenna this is not we're going to put this down it's heavy it's very heavy this is not the antenna that came with it it's just one i could find that was closest and it's it there's a little spot on the circuit board where you can screw in the antenna of the right size this one's a little too small so it doesn't screw in so but it is sitting there making contact it did have holes on the sides and i pro it probably came with a mounting bracket that's what these holes are for so you can mount it in your vehicle you turn it around here there's the other one on the back it had tape...
