Send person currency
hey what's going on YouTube welcome to variety and airs I made this little Monday video to talk about something that's just been bothering me lately we've all received something that's just packaged like crap that's sent to us in the mail so when ordering coins and various currency through the mail or sending it through the mail say off to PCGS APMEX or some sort of attribution service let's talk about how to properly package your coins in your paper currency [Music] I've noticed a lot of things in a very kind of concerning thing that's come up is that nothing against the mail service throughout at least the states and just anywhere but people get tempted when they see the opportunity that money might be in an envelope even when I send stuff out for the website variety airs calm we do have them in an envelope that has our stamp on it but we also typically put them within another envelope so that way it obscures that we're sending any sort of money and it looks just like your standard everyday mail one thing that's really coming up common is gonna be numismatic theft coin or currency theft you see that a lot you probably have experienced it yourself or know somebody who has and it really runs the gamut whenever you are sending anything of value whether it be something like this 1861 Confederate half-dollar these two dollar bills valuable item like a wallet or jewelry or anything of that like but in this case when we're sending things off to get graded attribution services selling something through an auction site or a Facebook auction and sending it to somebody it's important to keep the thing from looking like you're sending money through the mail because as we know people get sticky fingers when they think that there might be something of value that they can get away with taking well when one thing when I'm sending stuff out is I always make sure to pay for insurance on things I think that's common sense but when it comes to sending stuff especially through the Postal Service you definitely want to get insurance as well as tracking on all of your items whether it's a letter to Grandma or a valuable coin another thing is is within the envelope you want to make sure that your currency is protected and makes its way safely to whoever the destination is gonna be so once again some of these might be common sense you're probably like man mail letters before I've sent stuff from eBay and all that then hey video is not for you necessarily but for instance if you look at the variety in Arizona below it's not important what this actually says you probably can't see it on your screen but essentially it's our little stamp that is on every one of the envelopes that we send out whether it's currency or newsletter because we do have some members that prefer to get the newsletter in a printed format so our monthly newsletter we send out via an envelope kind of like this guy here now of course since we're currency website in our actual stamp incorporates the word words of currency I don't want people to get an idea that hey there's a thousand bucks in the symbol of let me take it and then therefore even a simple newsletter isn't making it to our viewers so after we let's say package for use us to for example now most things especially United States when they run mail it goes through a sorting system and it grabs it with a binder kind of roller thing that run that grabs it like this and pulls it through so you don't want your bills to get all mashed up and folded up especially if you're gonna send them off to PCGS or somebody that's gonna grade the bill of course you don't want the thing all crumpled up so easiest thing they sell them at hobby stores they saw them for like 10 cents apiece online I buy these in bulk of like almost 100 or 200 of them a pop and it's just a plastic currency sleeve now obviously I put this in upside down so it shows how apt I am to using them but it's something that's going to keep the bill from getting all at least the services of the bill from getting damaged another thing is when it goes into let's say our envelope and now there's other things that we utilize inside the envelope of course there's gonna be an invoice and then of course another piece of paper that's a letter so you wouldn't even see the outline through the light of anything that's bill sized we usually wrap it at least in one more sheet of paper typically just white printer paper to obscure if somebody were to hold it to the light what's inside the envelope but then we take that envelope and then we put it inside of your age-old regular kind of Tam Manila cover colored envelope and then on the outside of this I'm just going to a fix a standard white shipping label like I wrote coins inside on but across this and nothing that's gonna be indicating that there's currency in this so that's one way to do it as far as coins coins are a little different you can send them of course I don't have any on me but they're the same color as these is gonna be little coin envelopes so you can purchase that fit more happily to let's say something like this where it fits it more closely the same thing as most postal service boxes now if you buy a prepaid one or with basically any service except for I think standard mail you can get tracking and insurance on it I would suggest sending it in a small box maybe one that fits this better but that way there's no bends there's no creases and the coin itself even the casing is not getting affected cracked Scout so on and so forth and aside from that there's a lot of other things you can get I mean you can send stuff in standard envelopes that's what we do sometimes as well but I don't really like using your standard letter envelope simply because it seems to be treated with less care through the Postal Service something of course it's marked fragile do not Bend that would be a good idea to add to the outside of your envelope and then these are just an example of something that you can get from your local banking branch that is one it helps obscure the bill too these are actually meant to hold bills so I would suggest for example if I find my beginning example it's typically we take a bill like this inside the plastic holder stick it in here for a little bit further protection you're gonna be like this is totally excessive Kyle why then seal it in an envelope but obviously if you hold this to the light you can see that it's clearly a bill so and I'm using this like I said we use regular paper and stuff too you should be able to just fold this bad boy up back in our original envelope give you the most and most possibly the most unnecessary rundown on the rundown on how to mail stuff but as you can see now you're not dealing with this bullcrap I received points all the time from unfortunately some viewers but primarily places that I order stuff through and it is simply ridiculous it's not as dramatic as this of course but it's like such and such currency calm and you know it's blatantly obvious that I ordered some sort of coin currency something of that nature even when you order things safe from the BEP they try a little bit to obscure that it's from the Bureau of imprint of a graving and printing saying when you order stuff from the men it's not just blatantly obvious it's from the men to make it a little less enticing for mail thieves to want to take your currency so hopefully you didn't get bored senseless hopefully my little jokes and gags maybe made you laugh even though you know how to mail stuff but don't be that guy or gal don't send stuff to your friends family to your customers if you a run up site like mine just getting their stuff stolen it's a headache for everyone ain't nobody got time for that let me know if any questions let me know of inventive ways that you have to mail things currency related so they reach their destination safe and sound otherwise this has been another Monday video about currency here on variety and errors check me out the next videos we searched through some money and I will see you guys later today in our bill search video have an awesome day see you later it's been another adventure here on variety airs currency YouTube channel don't forget to hit the like and subscribe buttons if you enjoyed the video on how to mail your currency let me know what you found in the comments below otherwise I will see you in the next video happy currency hunting folks and see you later
