I woke up about 8 o'clock right now it's like 10:30 ish and yeah I thought I'd talk you guys a little bit about what the title of this video is so first thing that we're going to talk about is programming which is a very very important aspect of everything there's the nutrition and this programming now what I see a lot of people do is they'll go to the gym they won't really get stronger over a period of time I'll go to the gym we'll do the same way like every single day every single workout right so you're not achieving any overload you're not getting stronger you're not doing any extra reps so you're not going to see any result and then I also see a lot of people who will occasionally do a few more reps or occasionally up the weight or what they'll do is they'll switch will work out they're doing let's just say that you chest one day they start out with incline dumbbells the other day they start out with decline bench so it's kind of hard to track you know progress available it's kind of hard to track you know if you're getting stronger or not right so what I recommend you do is let's just say you're a beginner I recommend that you go on a four three four day a week program like an upper lower split or a full-body what progressive overload means in simple terms is basically let's just say you do your upper day one upper day one is five sets of five in the benchpress now you're going to do 5 sets of 5 in the benchpress you're going to try as hard as you can you're going to use the same way for all 5 sets of 5 and next week on your upper day offer day 1 what you're going to do is the same exact thing 5 sets of 5 on the bench press right you're going to try to get stronger on it so you're going to increase 5 pounds Ken town now if you're a beginner you'll probably be able to increase like 5 to 10 pounds on your bench weekly maybe 15 to 20 on your squat and deadlift it's that's not uncommon if your intermediate or expert it could be the same thing if you haven't been tracking your progress so the exact numbers don't really matter basically the scheme of it is you want to be increasing the weight every single workout possible I'm keeping the same reference and the same exercises so you can track exactly what you're doing and track you know getting stronger week by week that's like the main thing that people mess up on is you know not tracking their work and kind of going in and doing whatever they want to do if you're wondering like where do I get a program at that I can achieve progressive overload where I can track my workouts where I'm doing the right workouts that type of thing what I'm going to do is link things at me Dave and Quinn have done for the past like two years basically the programs that we've run I'm going to put an intermediate and expert and then also I'm going to put a beginner level program so you guys can just click the links for them and we'll be right there if you have any questions on any programs and yeah just ask me in the comments when it comes to nutrition there's another thing that people like to [ __ ] up for no reason when it's very very simple if you're trying to gain muscle mass you're trying to gain weight you need to eat a lot of food if you think you're eating enough and you're not getting bigger and stronger round you want to be then you're not eating enough so you need to eat more now if you're trying to stay like around the same way gain a little muscle lose a little fat the amount of calories your body needs to stay at the same weight so you'll probably stay around the same way you'll lose some fat gain some muscle recomposition if you're trying to lose weight lose body fat get lean to your abs you need to eat in a caloric deficit which is less than your body needs to stay at the same weight it's very very simple and if you're not sure exactly how many calories you need to do this thing go look up iifym calculator and it'll on Google it will show you exactly flying the Maverick I think I am actually going to get a mattock because it's a lot cheaper than the Phantom 4 Pro and also for what I'm traveling it's a lot more portable and stuff like that so yeah
