Verify individual radio
hi welcome back to these very short but quite important and video so here in the UK us amateurs have licenses issued by an organization called Ofcom now every five years or within five years we have to revalidate our licenses if we fail to do that then there is a chance that our license could lapse and we may not be able to get it back okay so I've seen a number of people asking questions about how we revalidate our license so I just want to do you a very very quick video just to show you how easy it is so here we go [Music] [Music] right first thing to do fire up your web browser and go to the Ofcom website and choose manage your license link and then come down and click manage your ship or amateur radio licenses go to the login box and type in your email address and your password don't worry if you can't remember it there's a link that you can use to reset that if you need to and then you're logged in obviously certain information will be blurred for confidentiality this is where you can see all the various licenses that you've got and you can actually click to go into those licenses and you can see all the information about them you can actually view all of the relevant information per license and you can even click on the download box there and download the actual license certificate so yeah validating or revalidating your license is really really simple and when you actually revalidate you revalidate all of your licenses at the same time so you can see here that mine haven't been validated for a few months so I'm not going to show you how to do it so simply going to manage your personal details and this will bring up your information your address your postcode and all of that and all you need to do is change some information in there so for instance for me just adding my county of Staffordshire will then update the records and that then will revalidate my licenses for a further five years so you see there the message your details have been accepted and now if we look down to the date that they are valid - we can see that they've been revalidated today there you go it really is that simple anyway if you found this video useful then as I always say at the end of all my videos please consider subscribing it gives me the confidence that I've done something right and it encourages me to carry on and make more videos so thank you very much for your time and have a great rest of your day bye for now [Music]
