a name for your LLC and you can't you can't have LLC or LP in the name also basically whatever you want to name it like let's say California I don't know California logistics let's say that's what we named our business California logistics and so we'd search that under LLC to see if anyone has this name we'll search it up and you can see there's a bunch of other people that already have something close to it it gives anything that's close to it so you can see all of these right here jurisdiction tells other states as well so it's not just the state you're anything tells you all the states and it tells you the status like this thing has been cancelled this LLC doesn't exist anymore but basically we go all through here I don't really want to go through 50 plus pages but we'd see if this name already exists it probably doesn't so we could now use this name so we view California logistics and then when we fill out the form it would put the LLC at the end so it'd be California logistics LLC that would be our LLC but let's go back over here domestic and let's pull up this articles of organization page right here and it tells you all the information about this filing fee would be $70 certified copy fee if I want a copy of it would be $5 as well and then we can hit start right here and it tells you all this information basically it's pretty simple it'll just run you through the information your service of process right here so basically this part right here the agent is this is you if you want to have an agent so basically you can set up an LLC in another state if you do that you have to have someone what's called an agent living in that state to get all the information for you so like again if I set up a LLC in Delaware I would need a person living there so companies or anyone can send mail to that person and then they would forward that mail to me but that's not the case I'm living here personally so I won't be using a California registered corporate agent I'll just be an individual which is me I'm not gonna put in all this information right here basically you just put in your personal information if you're just doing it yourself but yeah that everything for that page management the LLC will be managed by one manager it's just gonna be me owning it you can do more than one so if you want to have multiple people owning the LLC you can do that I recommend if you want to form an LLC I recommend that you just do it yourself it's very complicated I mean if you set up an LLC let's say you and your friend want to set up an LLC right you have to determine what percentage owns the LLC so say you split it 50/50 which you never want to split a business 50/50 because if you guys ever you know you and your friend ever like decide you don't wanna be friends anymore you want to break up the business you both own exactly 50 percent is controlling the business that's very complicated so at least one person would need to own 51% and the other person owns 49% and then you need to pay out a percentage of what the the company makes to the people so one person will get 50% do one percent of the business income the other person 49% I highly recommend you just be the only person on the LLC that's what I do on I have two LLC's and that's what I've done on both of those so I highly recommend only one manager after that you'd have the organizer so this is just again if you want someone else to receive information about the LLC so anytime anyone wants to send information about the LLC they would send it to the organizer it's just gonna be me so I would just put in my personal information and my personal email here and then you'd go to the review and then you'd go to the payment and you'd put in all your payment information so that's the very basics of how you would set up an LLC in the state of California again like I said you just need to find your state websites I have links to all the states below and it will pretty much just run you through the whole program for you it will hold your hand so it's really not that difficult to do this whole process if you have any questions I'm more than happy to answer them so go ahead and leave a comment
