hi guys I'm going to walk you through making a weekly cleaning certificate I've noticed there's been a lot of the same questions out there as to why do we have to file every week what is it that you have to do and why am I having to go through the whole process again so I've already been doing this a few times because I'm a few weeks into the whole unemployment thing and I thought I'd just show you what it looks like show you how easy it is it's really a quick process like once you get in it takes like 10 minutes and good news is you do not have to go through the whole filing it claim again it's just a weekly claim certificate it's just a show that you did not have any work opportunity or did not refuse any that you were indeed ready and able to work but could not so I'm not an expert on this I am just in the same boat that you are trying to figure all this out and get through so just say nope this is specific for Hawaii's unemployment website that I am walking to you through here so if you're from a different state or different area I don't know if this will be the same or help but for those of us here in Hawaii I hope this is helpful for you I'm going to go ahead and show you on my screen what it looks like and walk you through it step by step so we're gonna start with the first page here again you're gonna go to the unemployment website which is hu I claims Hawaii gov the first thing you're going to see most likely unless you the lucky winner of the week you will see this high-volume sign right here so don't be discouraged there are a lot of people trying to get into the website I think les count that I heard was over 200,000 there's a lot of us trying to get paid it is frustrating to wait but just be prepared it will take a few minutes to get in which is why you're going to go to your refresh button right here and you're just gonna click click click click click until you see the main page you got there alright so make sure that this top one here on the right is green you are the claimant you're the one trying to get paid so you'll want to make sure that you're on the correct page for this you'll see a big banner here disregard that this is what you do to file an initial claim again this is not what this video is about this is the follow up weekly filing that we have to do if you have not filed an initial claim you need to register as a user and click this button to start the whole process but for the rest of us who have been at least one week past not working you're going to go down here to get started you'll see a lot of options don't let it confuse you this is where you're going to go to access everything and to log in to the site so you're going to log in with information that you set up when you filed your initial claim again if you have not done the initial claim you need to stop this video click here to register and start that process separately but for the rest of us log in here and you gay you got in it's probably been a few minutes I get up super early every week on Monday like I'm clicking refresh at 6:30 a.m. till I get into the website takes me about maybe 10 minutes 10 to 15 minutes to get into the website and once I do is super quick guys so you're going to come down here to the right where it says file a claim certification click on that and you're going to first confirm the week that you are filing for again this should be for the past weeks that has already been completed so it'll ask you to confirm the week ending on Saturdays date so you should be filing from Monday on for the week before so if you better let you choose whether you're doing the past week it will default to the past week if you're doing it for an earlier week it does have an option for you to go in and change the date otherwise once you click your answer and fill it out the continue button will populate which is great it's super easy just keep repeating answering your questions hit continue until you are done it'll ask you ten questions so again this is just to confirm this make sure that you didn't we're not able to work this is what they need to certify that so that they can process that information for your eligibility to make sure that you get paid so it's very important that you answer the question honestly accurately just to make sure that there's not any questions on their side and that they can D can just process it straight through and you get paid so at the end of this you're going to see this question right here where it says click here to check your work this is your second third and fourth chance to make sure that all the questions are answered and answered accurately again just double check at a couple of times just to make sure that everything is straight and then that's it that's all you have to do again it takes like ten minutes or so the hardest part is just getting simply getting into the site so just hang in there there's so many people trying to get in there's some of many of us in the same boat and right now it's a really really big big boat that to fit all of us because I'm here and trying to get paid so just hang in there just know that you will get paid it's coming just be patient okay I know they have extra people working for unemployment just to get everything through to stay on top of it it's a lot for them to keep up with I personal experience in dealing with them I've been had an issue with my direct deposit they called me to let me know so I could fix it in the site and then they everything was corrected quickly after that my experience with them has been great if you have to talk with them don't put it to be nice they're working hard to write to make sure that we get paid so any questions that you might have I'd be happy to answer them again I'm not an expert I'm just also in the same boat that you are and I hope everything's going smooth for you I recommend very strongly that you keep tabs on everything that you've done after every certificate that you do after your initial claim they send you email confirmations keeps them all in the same place keep them organized just in case for any reason there's any questions you can
