in this tutorial you will learn basic navigation tips for tap to begin log into your tab account for this tutorial we have already logged into our account this is the tab home screen it is a personalized home page for your account at the top of the screen you will notice this black bar this bar contains a menu and a breadcrumb trail these tools can be used to quickly navigate between previous screens or return to your home page right below the navigation bar in to the right there is a manage my log on button use this button to edit account information moving down the far left column displays basic account attribute information such as your ID number balance and name the middle column displays alerts here you can quickly click into urgent actions to take on your account such as reading letters filing a return or making a payment the far right column displays a list of non urgent actions to take on your account such as scheduling recurring payments or submitting documentation moving down the screen you will see information is grouped into several tabs the accounts tab displays all accounts your logon can access the requests and correspondence tab shows all pending or completed requests made through tap an electronic copy of letters sent to you or your business and any electronic correspondence sent by tap to your email address this screen will initially list only open requests and unread letters and emails but you can view all requests letters or emails by clicking the view all button for any given category the names and addresses tab shows all names and addresses listed for your logon you'll notice these are blue and underlined indicating they are hyperlinks this means that you can click on the current name or address to access a screen on which they can be edited the account settings tab allows you to edit settings for a specific account to which your logon has access this is also where you would go to manage payment sources for an account the flags tab shows any flags on your accounts a flag is something that indicates important information about your account in this example the flag indicates that the CRS account is in compliance note if you do not have any flags on your account currently this tab will not appear to view information specific to a certain account select the account type hyperlink under the accounts tab this is the account level you'll notice at the top of our screen our breadcrumb trail has grown this will grow to list all previous screens you can then navigate back to the screen quickly by clicking on its name further down the screen we can see some new tabs have been added the periods tab shows a list of the last twelve periods under the account the logins tab shows all additional logins with access to this account the refunds tab shows all refunds issued or pending for this account the NAICS codes tab shows all activity codes associated with the account we can drill down to even more specific information about a certain period of this account by selecting the periods tab and selecting the hyperlink for a given period this is the period level both the breadcrumb trail at the top of the screen and the period attributes column indicate which period we are looking at the top three columns have remained the same but you'll notice two additional columns now appear below this is the summary column this column displays a high-level financial summary of the period to the right we see the period activity column this column shows all activity that has taken place on the period once you are done with your tab session navigate to the far right of the navigation ribbon and select log off to end the session you this concludes the navigating intact tutorial
