Even I had the similar problem, my windows 10 upgrade laptop crashed badly and I decided to go for Macbook Air which is all new OS for me. Earlier I had organised my work in Zotero in Mozilla Firefox, and I was using symlink to dropbox to sync my library between my office PC and Laptop (as free 300 MB cloud storage got exhausted early and I had no credit card to buy additional Cloud Storage from Zotero), it was all working good until I went for Window 10 upgrade and finally my hardware crashed. For that, you have to carry your original identity proof along with the coloured photocopy of the same and the original ID is mandatory. You have to use the same ID proof, the details of which you have filled in the application form when you apply for the exam date.The identity proof which is accepted and is considered valid is your original passport and no other ID proof is acceptable such as driving license, student ID card or any other such ID proofs. Other than the ID proof, you have to carry a printout of your confirmation email for the IELTS exam.To be on the safer side, it is always advisable to carry at least two coloured photocopies of all the ID’s and the documents with you to the exam centre including a minimum of two passport size photographs of yourself.Besides the identity proof, carry your complete stationery kit which contains pencils, pen, eraser, sharpener etc. To save your time, always sharpen the pencils beforehand and check your pen for any leakage etc.Please make sure that you do not carry any calculator, wristwatch, laptop, mobile phone, any recording device, any other gadget which is capable of recording or making video or clicking pictures etc. All these devices are prohibited inside the exam room. You must not carry any of these things. If you do, then you have to keep these things outside the exam room and you can collect them after the exam.Lastly, for the IELTS Speaking exam which is conducted separately on a different date, you just have to carry your passport and its coloured photocopy for the identity proof. Nothing else is required in the Speaking test. Though, you may carry few stationery items to jot down some points for round 2.
