so we're going to look here at how to save attachments from an email into Dropbox folders the first thing you need to do is to make sure that you've got a Dropbox account setup and they are free and that you've also downloaded the free Dropbox app onto your iPad so we're all set up with that let's see how we can save attachments from emails so far on my email and I've got an email here which I prepared which has got a variety of different attachments in I have a PDF which is which displays as an image on the screen I've got a spreadsheet and a word document which appears icons and I've also got a JPEG image which appears as an image on the iPad screen saving all of those is fairly easy tap and hold down until the open end box appears and you can see there's a variety of different apps in which the iPad knows it can open a PDF there are two screens to this so I've actually looked for a whole variety of different apps I could open a PDF in I want to open in Dropbox and the Dropbox app opens it's saving in the the route default Dropbox folder at the mall but I can change that if I have lots of other folders set up so I can choose destination Dropbox I can choose any folder they want to put in to choose save and then that saves that into my Dropbox so let's head back to mail let's try that with a word document again hold down open in Dropbox this is going to save into the last place that I chose but I don't want it in my PDF destination so it's going back to the root folder the Dropbox folder choose save again that file has been saved back to mail do the same with my spreadsheet there's the open and draw box so I already have a file there which is the same thing so I'm going to cancel that they will save it as the same file name but without a number one at the end of it there it is their images JPEG images etc slightly different it doesn't give you the opening Dropbox option you can only choose to save to camera rule or to send a Twitter etc and in another video I'll show you how you can use the mail option to email the attachment directly to your Dropbox folder
