I'm wondering why I would have my signature on a pdf. I am trying to sign a pdf file and it asks me if I want to sign it. I'm not using an email address to sign a pdf How do you sign the pdf when the name of the user is not there? I'm not sure. I don't know how you sign a signature, but it's a very common practice. The signature you create in a pdf is always unique, so you can never sign a pdf with a signature different from yours (unless you've changed the signature on the pdf before it was saved). However, if you sign a pdf with the same signature as someone else (for example, by having the same email address in the pdf and signing it with that same email address, but in your signature it is someone else's signature), then that person can't change their signature on someone else's pdf that someone else has signed, because then they can sign anything they want and no one will be able to tell them apart, unless they've done something very wrong ( changed their signature), in which case no one will be able to tell if they're the same person signing a different pdf. I don't get it. So it doesn't matter if the signature is changed in the pdf, because the signature is not a unique one and there's no way to detect it anyway? I guess that's correct. However, if you have signed a PDF yourself and then someone changes their email address, you can be identified by the email address you've signed it with. Thanks for the help B. I have to say I am glad to see that the "new" PDF is being corrected. It is a very good example of what we are going to be doing, and I know that the people doing the new PDF will keep up their excellent record of corrections. The problem with the current version is that when you print it out you get a different font than the page size you set, so the font is hard to read in the printed version. The solution is a new PDF with a different font. We will be putting the new pdf version on the web with the current PDF file in a little bit. Thank you for the great work you all do! A few questions I have about the new PDF. When I print it out, the page is about 3/4 and half the normal size, and it has a very dark background that I can see only with the light table and it is not readable with the dark table on, even with a black background or a white one. (I am having a hard time seeing it with the light table and dark table on.) Also, it appears the text is too large for the printer. How will you fix these problems? Also, I think my printer is set for text only. The new PDF has been corrected to print it in all caps, but I am having a hard time reading the text with a black background.
