paypal invoice is a quick and easy way to bill your clients and to follow up on payments i'm donald fascaldo i'm a senior finance writer with business.com in this video i am going to show you how to create a paypal invoice [Music] creating a paypal invoice is very easy to do and it starts with you creating account at paypal.com the account is free and simple to set up once you do go to paypal.com and sign into your new paypal account once you are logged in you will see lots of choices for this example we are going to click on pay and get paid there select create and manage invoices paypal invoice lets you do a few things when it comes to creating invoices you can send one single invoice recurring invoices or a batch of invoices for this example we are going to create one single invoice to do that click on the blue create invoice button once that's open you have to select a customer to bill you can input the email address or search through your address book that you create on paypal.com for this example i am going to invoice myself so i would write my email address and then click on add new customer you'll have the option to include more information about your customer at this point could do that and then click on save once you have the person you're billing in that column it's time to start adding invoice items you can set the item name quantity price and whether or not you want to charge tax there's an optional description bar where you can describe what tasks you performed once you can fill that out click on add item or service and scroll down if you want to uh use one of paypal's other options such as add terms and conditions or a reference number terms and conditions can be to have the bill paid 30 days after received 60 days or whatever you want your client to know once you've added your additional options you can decide if you want to accept partial payment or allow for a tip at this point i would save a draft of the invoice that way if you need to log off your computer or something happens you'll still have it once you're happy with the invoice click on preview and this will show you exactly what it will look like if everything looks all good you can opt to send it now by clicking on the blue button share a link in an email print it out in mail or download a pdf to sends later and that is it in this case we're going we're going to send it to myself via email and that's it once it is sent you will see that on in blue right here we'll say sent and that is it paypal invoicing is simple to do and i hope this video helps you thanks [Music] you
