what's up the Recio pros welcome back I was doing a little keyword research earlier and I found that a lot of people are looking up SEO proposal templates and this is something that I've actually pretty much streamlined for my own business I created an audit template that turns straight into a proposal template and this is what I actually used to sell twenty five hundred dollar implementations to clients consistently this is something that I've been doing for the last about year and I've gotten all kinds of clients whether they're local clients paying me $2,500 for implementations national clients and I'm gonna show you exactly how I do that I'm going to show you why I charge $2,500 what actually is included in that package how I price it out with my with my actual audit and I'll actually show you my system - I create a little outline earlier before this system that's easy to replicate that you can use for free and all you have to do is just follow the five steps that I've laid out and you go from a keyword research strategy all the way up to a service sale I'll show you today exactly how I do that now before I do if you want to grab the template it will be in the link system here's a system now this is kind of it's kind of a weird drawing right yeah use paint so I'm not I'm not an artist by any means I'm not a I'm not a designer I do Dee do decently at marketing but I'm never amazing it designing so don't judge me based on that so what you're gonna find in here is you're gonna find the again the 5 set step system it's easy to replicate according to me basically what you want to start out with is you want to start out with keyword research and I used a couple platforms are you either use semrush I use href I don't usually promote 8 reps just because I not really a fan of their marketing at their company not like a fan of the people who work there SEMRush people are great hf s cady meter though the way they actually you can see their keyword difficulty is actually pretty good that's the one reason why I still recommend them a little bit but they are very expensive and you know Semra semrush is a tool that you can get for a lot cheaper than h refs and it does pretty much the same job but ideally what you want to do is you want to pump out a list of keywords and you can also do this for free so if I go over to Google right now let me go over here just so I can show you I'll show you how I actually found the keyword strategy for this tutorial so all you do is you go to semrush or you go to 8 reps and by the way I have a affiliate link for some rush you can get the first month for of for free of this platform I'll leave a link to that in the description of this video but if all you have to do is just go to something like keyword you know keyword research you know let's see try to find the keyword tool around here somewhere in here keyword analytics I guess keyword there we go let's try that so it looks like we can enter some keywords I'm gonna do something like I don't know like SEO template that's kind of what I put in to find these keywords and then what you're gonna do is you're gonna figure out so first of all why do I know that this is my keyword right a lot of people are like well you know you could rank for all kinds of stuff right you could rank for you know best SEO blogger template but I don't really have a solution for that my audit checklist doesn't have really much to do with a you know audit template for a certain theme it's not that specific it's more about you know auditing websites that are looking to improve their SEO from an on-page perspective and so if it's about something that has to do with like a blogger theme or like it has some sort of do something to do with a wordpress theme it's kind of hard harder to angle what I want to rank for right so instead of instead of going for something like this best Joomla SEO template what you want to do is you want to first of all figure out on your on your little chart here let me go back here you want to figure out up here you want to start basically on step three and you want to figure out your opt-in so you can't really do your keyword research unless you figure out what your opt-in is first and your opt-in will generally lead to whatever your sale is so a good example of this is like part of the reason why I'm able to sell SEO audits for about eight hundred dollars and I'm going to show you how to do that in a second is because I get a ton of people opting in to my template then they don't they don't want to do the audit themselves they come they reach out to me and they say hey I'd like to buy that you hundred dollar audit now what you'll see is from my keyword research I'm not trying to rank number one for SEO audit service because look you don't want to target local or high difficulty keywords to start out with you want to build an audience you want to build Authority first so why is that now this is my this is sort of my theory and you can you could take my theory and do whatever you want with it but first of all backlinks in my opinion are dead I don't think that they they I think they they definitely help you I think they help you rank but I think building backlinks is a dead sort of tactic what I do instead is I try to build don't put this camera down what I do instead is I try to build an audience I try to build like traffic to US asset that I control so basically if you control your audience you control your traffic this is more valuable than a backlink because if you think about it we have all these different platforms out there we have YouTube we have Facebook we have Google we have all these different search engines right Twitter these are all search engines and so if you can take your audience from one platform like let's say YouTube and send it over to a place like Google let's say you've got a bunch of reviews to Google my business or let's say you got a bunch of comments on your blog that to me and this is my opinion it's more valuable than going in manually out reaching for backlinks even if you built a huge audience on YouTube and then you let's say distributed some sort of invaluable resource on your website and then the people naturally link to it even if you ask them hey can you go link to this that audience is going to help you support what you're doing way higher and more frequently than if you were to build a backlink manually and then have to go ask more ask for more links manually so link outreach and backlink building is sort of a dead tactic these days because you can it's much better to use these social platforms to build sort of a social following and use them to build Authority and rankings on whatever you want now that's why I'm saying early on don't focus on cell pages don't forget focus on service pages when you're starting out with a website if you have less than 10,000 organic visits a month to your website which you can tell through here let me just go to SEMRush we'll go to the keyword the dashboard let's go look for a domain so let's look up Chaser intercom let's see how much traffic we up if I have less than 10,000 estimated visits per month which you could say only a 566 and my authority scores 32 last thing I'm gonna try to go do is rank for like SEO audit service which is gonna be way more difficult because people are trying you know big companies are trying to target these cell pages that already have a ton of traffic on a ton of backlinks ton of authority so instead of doing that what I'm gonna do something to try to build my audience trying to build as much people to my opt-in as possible once I have a big enough audience let's say I have like a hundred thousand people subscribe to me on youtube I have a bunch of people on my Facebook page and my facebook group I have you know tens of thousands of emails that you know people open my email and go check out whatever I'm promoting then I can start promoting a service because now it's easy gonna it's going to be easy to start bringing reviews to that service targeting other people that are gonna want to promote that service and get links for it but early on when you're starting out a website and most people have under 10,000 of organic visits you're not gonna want to try to build sales pages unless it's like a local page and you're just targeting like the local city but that's a completely different strategy we're talking more like how to just build Authority in general this strategy also works for building 40 on a local level so you might be thinking chase like right now you're talking about strategy not talking anything about an SEO proposal but it's very important that if you want to learn how to rank I mean how to sell to somebody you also want to learn the system that I'm that you're gonna be selling and this is kind of the system you're you're you're doing a basic technical SEO for a client you're bringing them in to do basic technical SEO and then what you're gonna do after that is you're going to go and sell them a Authority gameplan so let's go back to the chart right here so once you figure out what your opt-in is now your optic could be anything it could be a checklist it could be a PDF it could be any sort of downloadable thing it you could even like let's say you know for instance I'm doing a video right now I could do like the downloadable version of this like picture hey go download the 5 steps I created a PDF for it or I created names for grass go download this here's where you click on it and then people will go click on it they download it I use a mini chat as my opt-in system I have tutorials for money China my channel by the way if you just look up chase run air mini chat but what you're doing is you're trying to get people to you know you're trying to get them into like an autoresponder I like money check because it integrates with Facebook and you can actually automatically message people on Facebook which the open rates are way higher where with you know something like email that the open rates might not be as high so I probably recommend something like mini chat to do your opt-in strategy or two for your implementations for your opt-in so now that you figure out your checklist like my checklist again is you know is stuff around SEO checklist SEO audit SEO roadmap for this video it's SEO proposal so my content is gonna be everything that's gonna lead to a checklist it's gonna lead to whatever that opt-in is and the reason again I'm trying to build these opt-ins is because I'm trying to build low KD keywords that I can get people to opt into right right if I can get some organic traffic for this just because it's a low key or difficulty you know term then I'm gonna get more people opting in organically and then all these people who are opting in organically for this checklist now I can start building relationships and bringing them up the ladder now how do I distribute my content after I do keyword research now I'll do a little bit more research in a second but here you can see I have three different platforms I do YouTube like a video like this so I'm doing SEO proposal template on YouTube that's it that's the thing I'm targeting blog so I can actually turn this video into a blog post or I can have somebody watch this video and then go write about the things that I say and then Facebook I can repurpose this video and whatever you know anything that I really wanted I mean once you start doing this content once you start doing content that's targeting these keywords if you just do one piece of content on one platform you can repurpose it on every platform they're all sort of the same thing except they kind of just have different ways of promoting like there's all these different things that you can do and this is actually what I'd been teaching lately in my authority hacking classes which we actually have one today we have classes every Friday and Monday at 3 p.m. mountain time this is what we were actually teaching here and I'm actually going in to these different platforms like YouTube Google Facebook I'm showing okay here's the buttons I click on here's you know how I set up by street here's the camera I'm using so all these things are in live classes and people can actually go in or you can go in you can get the classes and start participating with a group of people who are trying to learn how to do all this stuff and you know the more technical back-end way so YouTube blog Facebook I try to pick 3 and then I expand from there if I have taught you know once I have an automated system going it's a lot easier I'll actually show you my own audit here let me go to see if I can find my own audit I think it's over here yeah here it is I can open up in Google Drive so here's the audit I used on my own website this is the same template that I'm giving away in this video and on my website and this template right here is going to just take you exactly through the steps that you have to do for a client you know you're gonna go in you're gonna look at you know you're gonna send this intake you're gonna send them all the different questions what's your the website of what's your website URL can you grab me analytics access what's your Google search console Bing search console access please list 10 competitor URLs they might not have everything in here but you're just gonna get as much information as you can about them and then you're going to do the audit so you know you want to make sure that they have all the analytics and again if you don't know how to do these different things let's say you don't know how to set up the analytics or you don't know how to check if the analytics are there or let's say you don't know how to do the you know technical SEO or the PageSpeed or any of this stuff in this template what I do is I do videos I do tutorials for each section that you can click on and then go check out how to do it this is the new template so I'm not fully done with all the videos for the new template there's videos for all the for the old template which is basically the same as this except this is a little bit more I basically took all the main stuff and I separated into a priority checklist priority like step by step in these tabs the other ones just like one tab so if you do get the paid template the old one you'll also get the update for the new one one but you're checking analytics you know you want to make sure there's over responsive web design you want to make sure the technicals set up correctly you got the page speed setup you got the indexation you got the citations you're looking at the click-through rates the schema markup the Google my business optimization the duplicate content and then you do a little eyeball audit you check out the keyword research after you do that you have all these other things that have to do with building Authority which is what we're talking about now just a disclaimer this is the exact audit that I did for another website here this this website and this company's already offered to give me the $2,500 I don't have room to take more clients right now just because I get so many sales with this template with this when I do a proposal it's very easy because I go with you know the funny thing about proposals you look at what people are doing online like if you look up SEO proposal right now what you'll see is like there's all this junk out there like just you know people right here look like Ryan Stewart you know there he has all these different slides of like you know internal linking and it's just it's just basically it's like when you're doing this you're like explaining to a client all the stuff that they have to do but like in like this weird you know like presentation and the thing is clients don't really care about all this this isn't very transparent in my opinion because you're just showing them you're just educating them on general information that they could find out themselves you know Oh while you're currently creating content for your blog a large majority of thin and formative and lacks SEO focus you know this is like something you're gonna send to like any like they're gonna know that this is what you send to every single client and like if anybody are trying to sell me SEO with this I would just be like no thank you like that so general now when you look at this template it's very easy to see what you're buying because you're just going and fixing they're buying all the fixes for the different things that are in red you know oh you know it's multiple analytics codes okay we're gonna take them out online and offline converted jogging isn't set up okay we're gonna go fix it so when they buy all this implementations you know when they spend the twenty five hundred bucks they're gonna go and see oh look all of these tabs that were read before are all now fixed and now they're green and so this is going to make the client feel a lot better because they feel like they're actually buying real deliverable verses like you know some PDF presentation where you know you're just like showing them oh this is how SEO works the truth is his clients don't care how a CEO works they just want it done right when you go and see it look at this it's the same thing you go look all right you know oh here's some example keywords they don't want for example keywords they want a whole list give them give them a 30 day and 30 to 90 day game plan of what their keywords could look like right what we do and we do the keyword research for the authority like firm even for myself right now what I'm doing you could see here all these different keywords that I have I'm going and building a 90 day template here you know I'm trying to figure out okay what are the night in the next 90 days of content looked like if I were to do a video a day a blog post a day and you know if I were to funnel everybody to one opt-in what people what what these people are doing is you look at this they're like oh you could rank number one for SEO so like why is SEO software and even even like a term that they're recommending them that they rank for oh you're not right you're not in the top you know 104 SEO tool it's funny because a lot of these companies will like say oh you could rank for this but they're not ranking for anything themselves look at like what people are showing up for online that you know the companies are working with you know even me I'm not ranking for anything tremendous right now like how am I gonna recommend that people rank for like a KD 50 keyword if I'm only ranking for a KD 5 that's why I recommend rank for KT zeros because that's something that I've actually done and that's how I can actually get opt-ins organically I get a ton of opt-ins organically to my checklist because I'm ranking for a low KD so don't like think like the problem with these companies is like they're always trying to upsell you on something that's possible but then they're never actually selling you anything that's like probable right they're just selling you like things that are like oh here's your's theoretically how you rank and they're just giving you all this BS information that's available everywhere online like you know I'm not trying to downplay these people because I don't it's not that they don't know what they're doing it's just that clients don't care about a bunch of fancy metrics and they don't care about about you know your example keywords that they could rank for all they care about is okay how are you gonna fix my basic SEO how are you gonna do like make sure my foundation is set and how are you gonna start building rankings and opt-ins for me it's funny because you know you look at what people buy a lot of the time with SEO and it's like they're trying to rank number one for some out like crazy key where they're trying to rank for their service page when if they just started ranking for like you know a bunch of low difficulty keywords started building a bunch of opt-ins you know let's say they got like a thousand new opt-ins per month that's a thousand times more valuable then you know trying to spend the next 12 months hoping that you're gonna rank for some service keyword and that you're gonna get enough links built to that page and enough like BS content that nobody cares about on your websites that your rank there's so much content like I look at I look at some of my clients that I've you know helped rank over the years like bigger clients and these people spend you know hundreds of thousands of dollars on content but then you actually look at how many comedy pages are actually performing and it's only like ten pages on their website that are actually doing anything why don't these people have you know like hundreds if not thousands of pages that are ranking on Google for lower difficulty keywords that are bringing them a bunch of opt-ins and then like maybe a couple really powerful sales pages and opt-in pages that really represent what their company does that's how SEO is supposed to work that's what all the smart people are doing once you have the audience once you have the authority then you go and try to rank but you don't try to rank from the ground up with like links in I you know all these BS content posts that are just targeting key or just for the sake of targeting keywords if you don't have a solution for the thing that you're trying to rank for then don't rank for it like for instance if I went to semrush let me go to over two SEMRush and I saw okay if I type an SEO on the keyword tool and I see that let's see I see that you know so I could rank number one for what is SEO I could try to rank for SEO companies in Los Angeles I could try to rank for SEO services I could try to rank for Miami SEO but guess what all of these things are just sale pages right if anybody like if somebody searches Miami SEO they're either another SEO person that's trying to figure how to rank which is what it is most the time or they're looking for a service in that location now how many people do you think are gonna actually convert if they have no idea who your company is they just typed in Miami SEO and they give you a call maybe a few people if you're lucky now think about this if you were to instead spit instead of spending all your time trying to target this one keyword that might bring you a couple sales think about this if you were to start trying to rank for things or like you know how do is you on my website how do I what's the best SEO checklist all these different things that have to do with lower searches but different like questions that people are asking and then you have the best solution for that thing because you have a free whatever it is free tool for PDF and you start building relationships with these people you use your you know we use I use robots to build relationships with people to bring people in and then what is happening is that it's easy to now sell these people I'm bringing in 10 times the leads that these other people are doing that are breaking for these BS keywords because these people are actually know who I am and that's how people buy from you if you want somebody to buy it from you at twenty-five hundred dollars they're not going to just click on a Google search result and you know for Miami SEO they're not going and then just spent twenty five hundred dollars with you that's not how it's gonna work they're going to want to call you they're gonna want to see what your content is they're gonna want to see you know what your company does and the relationships are way harder to build that way because these people who are you know just seeing your service page and they see that you don't really have anything else online besides their services they're just going to want to ask you a million questions the people who I sell to are already pre-qualified like they are pre swated basically how Robert shell Dini says it to buy from me before I even sell so I'm just doing value value value building relationships building relationships cueing you know info content like this giving up value with you know information with
