welcome and thank you all for joining us for today's webinar handling the 7001 crisis with ECB is we are excited to have the opportunity today to share information about the 7,001 form and how global that link provides solutions to meet your needs the end of the 7,001 forum is an opportunity for you to move forward with safe and secure electronic CBI's again I want to thank you all for joining us my name is Rebecca Hoagland and I am the marketing communications coordinator here at global that link I began my time at GPL on our customer success team working directly with veterinarians and technicians who use the global that link system every day in transferring to our marketing team I now have the opportunity to bring hands-on experience with the GPL system to webinar such as this to begin today I will be sharing a brief overview of the 7001 form and the issues that are stemming from it then we'll take a look at the global vet link system and the services we offer and meet our customer success team to begin let's look at an overview of and the issues with the 7001 form the 7,001 form is a usda aphis form this form serves as the United States interstate and international certificate of health examination for small animals previously 7,001 forms were a carbon copy tablet the blank forms could only be ordered from the USDA and only accredited veterinarians could order and receive the forms today a blank 7,001 form template is available online this seems to provide easy access for animal health care providers however the downloadable form lacks a unique traceable identifying number but the hardcopy forms provide the unintended result of easy access to the blank form is that anyone can download print and sign it as though they were a licensed veterinarian without the unique identifier fraudulent forms have become a problem as they are virtually untraceable in order for states to enforce animal disease traceability and protect animal wellness certificates of veterinary inspection have to be authentic with unregulated availability many states are making the decision to no longer accept the 7,001 form as a valid certificate of veterinary inspection for interstate travel of small animals Alaska and Washington were among the first states to stop accepting the 7,001 form currently there are 21 states not accepting the cert 7001 form as a valid certificate of veterinary inspection for the interstate travel of small animals current as of July 19th 2018 the state's not accepting the 7001 form are Alaska Colorado Georgia Illinois Indiana Kansas Louisiana Minnesota Mississippi Missouri Nebraska Nevada New Jersey North Carolina North Dakota Oklahoma Oregon Pennsylvania Utah Washington and Wisconsin now let's take a look at how global the global vet link system verifying that requirements are met as certificates are completed animal regs comm is powered by global that link and allows you to look up animal movement requirements based on species origin state and destination state now let's take a look at how to create safe and secure electronic CV eyes through global vet link health link is the global that link application for creating ecv eyes to start you'll add your consignor information if you already have owners in the system you'll just type ahead to select the owner from the list otherwise new owners or consignor consigners or consignees can be added directly from health link just complete all of the red fields to create a contact after selecting your consignor you'll need to select your consign e if the certificate is for sale this would be the new owner if it's just for travel consignor and consigning would be the same moving down you'll add your origin and destination information these will default to be same as consignor and same as consign e but can be changed you can add a new contact or search the database for an existing contact next you'll select your carrier information you'll need to choose from consignor consign e or other once you've selected that information you'll enter your movement information you'll choose your carrier type from the drop down menu and then the purpose of movement as well from a drop-down menu you have the option of other to specify a certain reason if you have one that is not already in the list next we'll enter our animal information first we'll choose our species and for some it can be further narrowed down by a species type under permit inspection the only required field will be the inspection date or the date that the vet viewed the animals permit number will depend on the state to which you're traveling if they require a permit number upon entry brand inspection date and brand inspection number will be more related to livestock species but can be entered here as well area status and herd flock information are all optional but can be included on the health certificate and you can also include remarks the system is preloaded with a list of general remarks as well as species specific remarks and you can also add customer marks just click the plus sign in the upper right and enter your remark here next we'll come down to our animal list if the owner for that you have written the certificate for already has animals in the system you can click the list button to load a list of animals for that owner otherwise you can click the plus sign to add a new animal adding a new animal you will type in the name you'll add the age you can do date of birth or estimated age that's in days weeks months or years temperature is not required but can be included and then you'll choose a breed as we're working with canine as our species here the list will already be populated there you can choose from the list or you can type ahead to find one gender will be a drop down list for you to choose from and color can also be included ID types and ideas are where you can enter ID information such as your microchip typing into the ID types line will preload a list of ID types for you and then you can put that information in the IDS line once you click out of that box there it'll add it to the identification section of the animal profile moving down you can add any additional remarks about this animal and upload images if you choose once you've entered all of the animal information you'll just go ahead and click create in the bottom right corner now you can see here we have selected air as one of our travel methods and the airline's most times will require the animal weight to be listed on the certificate so this is prompting us to enter the animal weight so we can go ahead and enter that weight and it will be added to the animal information and it'll automatically be included on the certificate once you've completed all of the information you go ahead and click Save in the upper right hand corner this will save the document for you if you need to get a certificate number in order to obtain a permit number you'll use this get certain number button in the upper right corner if not and you're ready to complete the certificate you'll go ahead and click assign in the upper right here you will enter the vet will enter their username and password and they can choose to include images on the CVI if they have uploaded them those go ahead and click sign and once they have signed it'll let them know that there has been successfully signed and we can show the PDF here and here is the completed health certificate for this animal global that link is proud to have a highly trained customer success
