Hello in this video I'm going to walk you through some steps of saving and printing on PowerPoint 2015 for Mac. If you have another version things may look a little different. This tutorial is customized to EMU. The poster that is being saved is just for this tutorial. I’m going to walk you through saving for PowerPoint and PDF. Beginning with a PowerPoint save. You’ll see me clicking on the file tab. Then I’m going to click on save as. A save dialogue box will open, which you’re seeing now. I will first create a name, for this we’ll call it Poster PPT 1 because we’re saving it as a PowerPoint. We're going to make sure we're saving as a desktop so it's easy to find. Lastly I'm going to make sure it’s being saved as a PowerPoint. Which we are in the clear, so we're going to click save. Now we're ready to save as PDF. Again we're going to click the file tab, but this time we're going to click on Export. Again a save dialogue box will open, but this time we're going to name it Poster PDF 1 to make sure we don't get it mixed up with our PowerPoint. Again we're gonna save it to the desktop and you'll notice here the file format says JPEG but we want to save it as a PDF, so we're going to click PDF. We're going to click save. After saving PowerPoint and PDF, we are ready to print. First I’m going to minimize PowerPoint we're going to click the yellow circle at the top left corner to do this. Now, you’ll see the icons of your posters on the desktop you'll notice both of your saves. Make sure it is the PDF copy. This icon can be located anywhere on your desktop. I’m going to plug in a USB drive and you’ll see me dragging the PDF icon over to the USB. If you do not have a USB drive, email the poster to yourself. For this tutorial the USB name is “NO NAME”, but other names for the USB could appear. Keep in mind that the USB also could pop up anywhere on your desktop make sure to look out for it. Now that the poster is saved to the USB drive you will take the drive to the printing center located in Halle Library. The printing center located in the down stairs of Halle Library, room G01. If you do not have a USB drive, you may call this number 734-487-2013 and they will provide an email address to send your poster to. You should attempt printing at least three days before due date. We have completed saving and printing on PowerPoint 2015 for Mac.
