What are the career options after graduating with a Bachelor's in physics?
There are actually Three things you can do after you ‘earn’ your Bachelor degree in Physics :Continue your studiesGet a Job , orGive a JobAllow me to explain each in detail -Continue your studies :-> Here you have several Options:a) Pursue Masters from IIT by cracking IITJAM or from any other university on Physics and earn a PHd later on. You can also do Integrated PHd by applying and getting a good rank in JEST , TIFR , IISER etc.b) Pursue your Masters from any IIT (or from any other University) and then pursue MTech by cracking GATE. After MTech you can get placed in some PSUs or some reputed MNCs. Many prefer higher studies though (like PHd after Mtech). (P.S - IIT Kharagpur provides Integrated Mtech-PHd for Computer Science and Data Analytics after qualifying in GATE)c) Give an entrance test conducted by few universities for Btech and get into some good Engineering Colleges. (Ex : Jadavpur University in Kolkata conducts an entrance test for students of BSc(Hons) Physics. Qualified Candidates enter into 2nd year of BTech. Likewise Calcutta University provides Btech in Radiophysics.)d) Do Bachelors in Education(BEd) for a Teaching Job.e) MSc on other subjects like Biophysics, RadioPhysics, Geophysics, Instrumentation etc. Ex - MScTech in Geophysics from ISM Dhanbad (Note : the degree mention MScTech not MTech; Both are different).f) Other Masters programme in other disciplines if you want to do it like MCA, MBA, MA, LLB etc. (Being interested in Defence Services, personally I would have preferred Masters from Institute of Defence Studies in Pune and PHd later on— a path very few know or like to tread .)g) If you have a Gap in years after your BSc Physics and possess the thought that you will be unable to share the class with the younger generation, feel free to pursue distance learning through IGNOU. You can pursue your masters on other subjects via IGNOU or sit for an entrance examination for MSc. Physics (distance learning) which by the way IGNOU conducts in collaboration with Indian Institute of Astrophysics (forms available in the month of september).h) You can also pursue higher studies from Foreign universities. Of course you have to crack the competitive exams related for that purpose.2. Get a Job :→ You can Apply for Various entrance examinations for Banks(RBI Grade B, SBI PO, IBPS etc), Railways( ASM, Goods Guard, JE, RPF SI etc) , PSUs or State Units(AAI ATC, Electricity Executives, Forest Guard etc), Armed Forces(AFCAT, CDSE, Coast Guard(only interview) ), Civil Services(UPSC CSE, State CSE, IFoS) and Central/State Police Services( SSC CAPF, UPSC CAPF, SSC CGL etc). Crack these Examinations and earn a respectable service with the Central or State Governments or Banking Sector or PSUs.(PS : If you have completed MSc Physics then you can apply in Indian Navy as an Officer or else not. Indian Navy does not recruit candidates having just BSc in Physics. You either should have BTech or do MSc Physics- the condition valid even in UPSC CDSE recruitment)→ If you want a job in your core field(subject), there are exams like ISRO Scientific Assistant, SSC IMD Scientific Assistant, BHAVINI Scientific Assistant, NCPOR Scientific Assistant(which do not conduct any exam but only Personal Interview), NPCIL Scientific Assistant etc. which too are Govt Organisations that requires Bachelor’s in Physics as a qualification.(PS- If you complete MSc in Physics however you can apply for a relatively higher position in similar organisations for the post of Scientific Officer - Some institutes like BARC donot recruit candidates having a degree less than that of MSc.)You know the craze for Government Jobs, Don’t you? Some Jobs are indeed Earned. :)→ However You can always find a Job in the Corporate Sector. Ex: TCS, WIPRO etc.So, All the very Best if getting a Job is your sole Aim.P.S - Build and Develop Skills via sites(also Android App) like Udemy, Coursera, edX, Skillshare, Codecademy etc. Trust me sometimes recruiters will be much interested if they learn that you have invested some quality time in having knowledge which can give you an edge over other candidates. Also makes your Resume look quite attractive. Moreover guess what, most courses are totally free of Cost. After Completing the Course if you wish to have the valid Certificate with a signature and stamp from reputed universities, you can pay them a certain fee. Totally ok if you dont pay as those digital certificates will not hold much value over regular courses;but do keep in mind the skill you learn can make you top notch over others.Personally I prefer to pay as a token of appreciation. Doesn’t seem much(approx 3k INR & sometimes even only 600 INR) if you consider the fact that the knowledge you receive is immense and magnificent.3. Give a Job :→ Well you know what I am going to say. The Word that became the centre of attention lately in India- ‘Entrepreneurship’.Take risks, try out new ways, give people a source of Income, earn Fortunes and build your own Empire. And the thing is you don’t even need a Bsc or Physics to be a great entrepreneur. You don’t need to work for anyone, You can always work for yourself. But yes to be brutally honest- as lovely as the situation might seem- you will most likely Fail in this venture. Dont get me wrong but what I am saying here is the ‘Reality’. However I haven’t seen or met Entrepreneurs who didnot fail and yet achieved big.Who knows You might become the next Zuckerburg or the next Elon Musk - which by the way if you dont know, Mr. Musk has done his Bachelors in Physics. ;)These are the three things which I feel you can do. The Interest and the Will rests on you and you alone. I hope I was able to remove all your doubts. Still if you have one, feel free to comment.By the way, Upvotes are Welcome. Thank you for the 177 upvotes. Means a lot.All the Best for your future.(>_<) ♡Edit- Thank you Quorans for my first 500 upvotes.

What are the best mobiles to buy as of May 2017, except Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 plus?
This answer is going to be a long one, but worth a read.If you are asking as of may, I will suggest you to wait a month more because ONE PLUS 5 is on its way. This will definately be one of the best phones in the market pretty soon as it's predecessor one plus 3.Here is some latest information about it-The one thing we know without a doubt is the phone's name: OnePlus confirmed to Android Central that its next phone will be called OnePlus 5. We've also seen a promotional photo (above) from the company's CEO, Pete Lau, teasing the name. Why would OnePlus skip the OnePlus 4 name? Because in Chinese culture, the number four is considered bad luck when attached to a product — and besides, the OnePlus 3T is sort of a fourth OnePlus, so there's that angle, too. When will it be available? The OnePlus 5 will be available some time in the "early summer", according to the company, which confirmed that approximate timeframe to Android Central. While that could mean as early as late May, we're thinking it's likely going to be closer to early to mid-June, which would align with last year's June 14th OnePlus 3 announcement.OnePlus, because it doesn't have much overhead, selling the majority of its devices through its e-commerce store, may put the OnePlus 5 on sale the same day it is announced, which would give its early adopters something to look forward to.What are the specs? The specs of the OnePlus 5 aren't clear just yet, but there are a few elements we know and a couple others, based on leaks, we can pretty accurately guess. Here's what we know so far:CategoryspecOperating System-Oxygen OS based on Android 7.1.2Display-5.5-inch AMOLED2560x1440 pixelProcessor-Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Adreno 540 GPURAM-6GB LPDDR4 (8GB in some markets)Storage-64GB storage (128GB in some markets)Expandable-NoRear Camera-Dual 12MP camera sensorsFront Camera-TBDAudio-3.5 mm headphoneBattery-~3600 mAhNon-removableCharging-USB-CDash ChargeWater resistance-TBD (probably not)Wireless charging-TBD (probably not)Security-Front fingerprint sensorDimensions-TBDWeight-TBDBreaking it down a little more, there are a few variables to keep in mind. We know that the phone will launch with a Snapdragon 835 processor, because of course it will. OnePlus has launched all four of its flagships with that year's canonical Qualcomm SoC, and this year will likely be no exception. The OnePlus 3 had 6GB of RAM, so you can expect that same number in the OnePlus 5; it also came standard with 64GB of internal storage, so you can expect that, too. I wouldn't put too much credence in the idea that it will ship with 128GB standard, nor that it will come with 8GB of RAM. We're not there yet, and OnePlus gains little from offering those in a base configuration. We've heard that there may be an 8GB/128GB variant of the OnePlus 5 for China, specifically, which makes a lot of sense since that country is obsessed with maxing out what's possible in a phone, but I wouldn't count on it coming to North America. It's possible OnePlus will, instead, offer a 6GB/128GB or even a 6GB/256GB modelOn the screen front, we're hearing that OnePlus will keep its 5.5-inch display size and that, while the screen will do away with as much of the top and bottom bezels as possible, it will keep the front fingerprint sensor, and may also maintain the OnePlus 3 series' 1080p resolution. From a battery-saving perspective, it would make sense to keep the OnePlus 5 at 1080p, especially if the AMOLED panel used is of very high quality — even devices like the Huawei Mate 9 have fantastic screens despite relatively low pixel densities — but given that most competing phones have upgraded to 2560x1440 or an equivalent QHD resolution at various aspect ratios, it would make sense for OnePlus to do the same. The camera on the OnePlus 5 is expected to be cameras. OnePlus is rumored to be adopting the popular dual camera trend, with two identical 12-megapixel rear sensors. It's unclear at this point whether the lenses will be of different focal lengths, but either way you can expect some cool camera tricks and an overall improved photo taking experience. What would be cool is to see a OnePlus 5 with the same wide-angle lens as the LG G6, since I think a lot more people would be interested in that than the "telephoto" distance of something like the iPhone 7 Plus. An improved front-facing camera, likely with autofocus, is also in the cards. Finally, another big upgrade is to the battery. While the OnePlus 3T already saw an improved capacity, from 3,000mAh to 3,400mAh, the OnePlus 5 is expected to pack a 3,580 to 3,600mAh cell. That could translate, along with the more-efficient Snapdragon 835, to much better battery lifeA few odds and endsDespite rumors to the contrary, there's no reason to think that OnePlus will drop the headphone jack from this year's unit.We haven't heard whether OnePlus will add waterproofing to this year's flagship, but the company would be doing itself a huge disservice by going another year without it.Wireless charging? Not likely, especially if the metal design from the OnePlus 3 series shows up again, which we think it will. There's no reason to think that the mute switch will disappear, given that it's become a sort-of OnePlus signature, and it has a lot of very loyal fans.Dual speakers? Not this year.Removable battery? gtfoWhat will it look like?As mentioned above, the OnePlus 5 is probably not going to look too different from its predecessor — don't expect the same jump that we saw from the OnePlus 2 to the OnePlus 3. Instead, you can be sure that OP is going to go out of its way to shrink the phone as much as possible without sacrificing usability. Front-facing fingerprint sensor? Sure, but you'll probably see space-savings elsewhere on the device. You can probably take for granted that the popular Midnight Black color will make a return with the OnePlus 5, even though it may not be offered as a launch color. What about the software?Expect another iteration of Oxygen OS on the OnePlus 5, launched with a slightly updated version of what we currently have on the OnePlus 3 and 3T, running Android 7.1.2. The phone will launch long before Android O is public.Oxygen OS has turned into quite the capable piece of Android software, and while it's unclear whether the OnePlus 5 will have any distinctive hardware elements that change up the software experience, what is clear is the company's desire to keep Android as simple and fast as possible, while relegating the gimmicks to the background. What about software updates?OnePlus doesn't have a great track record of maintaining updates for longer than a year or so — the OnePlus 2 still doesn't have Nougat despite a number of promises — but the OnePlus 3 and 3T are still getting regular updates well into their lifespans, and after a somewhat close call on a promise to get Android 7.0 by the end of 2016, the phones are now seeing new software regularly. In other words, we don't know. Hopefully, OnePlus will keep the OnePlus 5 updated long into its lifespan, but we have more confidence in its ability to do just that than we did a year ago. What will it cost?Judging from the minor price bump between the OnePlus 3 and 3T, coupled with rising component costs throughout the world, the OnePlus 5 may cost somewhere between $449 and $469(₹30,000 to ₹35,000) which puts it creepingly close, but still far below, the flagships that it's competing against. At $399, the OnePlus 3 was a serious contender for "amazingly cheap"; at $439, the OnePlus 3T is just "inexpensive". A OnePlus 5 at $469 would be close to "Should I spend the extra money on another phone?" Still approachable, and maybe even affordable, but losing its pricing edge.Anything else? We'll have lots more on the OnePlus 5 when it's unveiled in "early summer," which is getting here sooner than later! In the meantime, check out our OnePlus 3T coverage and let us know what you want in OnePlus's new flagship!

What are the differences between Western classical music and Indian classical music? What’s the difference in their evolution?
Western classical music can be generalized as an extensive study of harmonies (multiple tones played simultaneously) and the feelings they evoke.Indian classical music can be generalized as an extensive study of note sequences and the feelings they evoke. Both explore two different dimensions of music.A western classical song written for an orchestra will typically consist of a hundred different instruments / voices playing different note sequences. Here, it is not the parts that are important, but the whole - how good these note sequences sound together. Hence we arrive at the idea of harmonies and chords, dissonance and consonance. Harmonic complexity is extensively studied. These are the concepts explored in western music theory.Essentially, it comes down to figuring out “do these notes sound good when played together?”. It’s about creating a co-ordinated piece that has to be played exactly as notated, with precise timing by every performer. The beauty here lies in the unity of all the parts, evoking different feelings. An Indian classical song is more free-flowing and meditative. Each song has a broad structure / template laid out, but the performer is free to (and is expected to) improvise over it. Songs are rarely notated, and notations for the same song can vary from one another. Here, there is no concept of harmony; there is always only one note playing at a time. The core ideas studied in music theory are different combinations and sequences of notes, and their phrasings (called raagas / raags). There is so much depth explored here that musicians can usually sing each raaga for an hour. These differences are probably rooted in how these forms of music originated. Music in ancient India was a means to signNow the gods. It was a way to express devotion, love and gratitude to them. Therefore, its nature became very meditative. You rarely ever see songs that express emotions about romantic love, sexuality or the complexity of human relationships. In western music, a variety of these emotions and feelings are explored in depth, because it evolved through a need to express them. This is also the reason that a good part of western music involves modulation. Songs sung to a lover are to be sung softly, songs sung in anger have to be sung harshly, and so on (taking some clichéd examples). A lot of emphasis is given, both to instrumentalists and singers, on how each note should sound. In Indian classical music, the only thing important is what note is being played / sung (and the transitions between them). Both forms of music explore entirely different dimensions of music, and are beautiful in their own way. :)

PPC or SEO, which is the best way to increase online traffic on your website?
Ten year ago, I would have told you "if done well, SEO really could be a winner for you, and its good to invest in both". Today, PPC will trump SEO, as SEO is all about content that people share and actually want to read - that takes a lot of time and investment to do right. Most ecommerce platforms (the big first push was magento in this space) come pre-loaded with really well built structure for SEO. H1 tags are in the right place, URL's are short and to the point etc. Look at wordpress, its SEO heaven and its free. This was not the case many years back, and companies spent a lot of time and energy optimizing. Today, when you are sizable enough, investment into SEO is useful, but on site changes should be in content and speed. Two things that are favored.PPC is king. Google is in the business to make money and provide a great experience. It's a bit of a split. If your website is all about contributing to making the world/internet a better place, google will rank you and not bill you for it. Its part of what they do. If you are a marketer of branded products, google knows you are not providing anything that super special aside from the ability to buy and help a customer out.So they go to the PPC model there and make money on you. Basically, its pay to play these days. The last 10 years google has spent figuring out how to get those monetizing off free traffic and not offering value add to start paying. Look at the paid search results now. They look almost like organic ads. PLA is huge, and thats specifically to separate those selling vs. those having content. So everything is paid, why is that good? Because now you can grow faster by paying. SEO is a tough business where you hope for growth but its hard to measure. Its doable, but for most people, you can, in a dashboard, see how your PPC efforts are paying off on conversion. The more you pay, the more visible you are. The next part you want to do is make sure your highly paid for traffic converts. Use things like Rejoiner to make sure those who come on site are marketed if they abandon. Use optimizely to test your pages iteration and how people react to price, design etc. PPC gets them there, but its your job to keep people on site and take care of them to come back. With PPC, you can even retarget (google side) and pay more for those that have once visited your site as you know that their 2nd time back means they are more interested. The world of marketing has changed for the better imho. Its more pricey, yes, but more intelligent to build funnels than it was before. Like my answer? See more here

How can I do SEO for photo stock sites?
Well, first it seems like your site is not image only. You mention you will have a small blog - take advantage of it. Make sure you research good keywords with low competition, and pump out some articles based on keywords that have 500+ words. The longer the article is the more long tail keywords you are likely to have as well. One method that would work well could be camera reviews and some tutorials how to edit / modify pictures. If well written, they could gain a lot of popularity and backlinks.Expanding on backlinks:Begin signNowing out to article writers about your free stock photo site. People (myself included) love free stock photos -- as long as they are good. If they are good people will naturally want to help you get the word out by giving links and telling their friends. Likewise, try to get word out about your articles by being active in communities such as digital marketing forums and photography forums. signNow out to established article writers and photographers about your articles that you think could help them learn. If people on the forums and the people you signNow out to like the content then you will get links, and increase your SEO.Feel free me to PM me if you want more help!
