If you do not want people to digitally sign your pdf, then you may create an encrypted pdf. When you create a new pdf, it will have the same name, but no encryption. You might wonder why I don't just encrypt the pdf, then send it as an encrypted file? Well, you can create a pdf of a public document and send it without encryption.
