so in today's tip I'm going to show you how to create a quick button for access to envelope printing in Microsoft Word 2007 previous versions of Microsoft Word and Open Office writer so in front of us here we have Microsoft Word 2007 to create an envelope icon here on the quick ribbon in Microsoft Word 2007 you first start by clicking on the office orb up here then click word options under word options you're going to click customize when customize comes up you're going to change the commands from option up here from popular scroll down and go to mailings and under mailings you're going to scroll through and you're going to look for the envelope button I passed it up right here click on it click Add and once you click Add it shows up on your quick access toolbar over here click OK once you click OK you now have a button in office 2007 that you can create envelopes from so just click on it instant access to your envelope printing capabilities in Word 2007 in all versions of Microsoft Word prior to Word 2007 to create the envelope button you simply go to view and then toolbars and then customize at the bottom of the menu or right-click and customize on a blank part of your toolbars probably easier the customize toolbar dialog box pops up go to the tools window and under tools scroll down find the envelopes and labels button on the right-hand side under commands and then just drag it to your toolbar once it's on the toolbar you'll have access to it from this day forward click on it and your envelopes and labels button pops up if you are using the openoffice.org writer the free word processor from OpenOffice to create the envelope tool on the toolbar first go to view from the menus click toolbars scroll down to the very bottom click customize when customize comes up make sure that you have the toolbars tab clicked then you're going to click Add over here on the right-hand side when the ad comes up click on insert as the category on the left hand side and then click on the lope from the right-hand side under commands click Add click close you'll see that the envelope is added at the point that was highlighted which is probably very beginning of your toolbar and at this point you can use these up and down arrows to position it where you would like I'm going to stick it down here next to the printer and then I'll click OK and now next to my printer I have a little option that says envelope when I click on it it brings up my envelope in openoffice.org writer
