What is the hardest thing you have ever done?
Okay so this incident was the hardest one for me. I have to go anonymously because I am not that confident to show myself.Let me elaborate. It is about a girl. We both studied in a same college. I saw her on the very first day of my college. I was jaw-dropped. She was so charming and beautiful. I had a huge crush on her.4 years passed. I never told her. She was that kind of girls who are very popular among boys. Boys were desperate about her. But she ignored everyone. I never bothered her in entire college period. The farewell day came. I saw her again. I got a goosebumps. My nervous got stimulated. My heart beats were like an engine of Harley Davidson. Anyway, I didn't talk to her. That night, after coming back to home, I started regretting. So I texted her to be friend. She said Yes.We talked More and More and More. I told her finally that I had feelings for her and I care for her. She said it's not the right time and she need some time. I said okay. After around a month, I started feeling again. So I told her that so and ask her that if she had feelings for someone, I would not think ahead. BUT, she said she didn't have feelings for anyone and not sure about me. I said okay.I cared for her too much. She was the most important person after my mother and sister for me. She knew that that I really care for her.6 months went. I am studying abroad and she is in home country. 1 month ago, she went on a dinner(actually it was a date) with someone and told me she never go with anyone like this but she couldn't say no to him. So I asked his name. She denied. Now after that incident, I felt like she was using me for fun. So we stopped talking for one month. In that month, I was depressed like hell. By depressed means very seriously depressed. I was suicidal. But I breathe through. After a month, I told her that I still have feelings and I am depressed about that because I was in love with her and want to marry her. She again played and told me there is some reason that is why she did this. I asked. She said she will never told me but wanted to be a friend. I said okay. After few days, I couldn't stop thinking about her and asked that reason and if I am having any bad things or habit, I am willing to change it.She finally said. She: The reason is I like someone else and I don't think that anything can happen between us now. So better we shouldn't talk.I: why didn't you tell me before. I asked you. She: I don't need to explain everything to you. You can never understand.I: you just played with my feelings, do you even realize that!?She: I don't care. This happened at 3:00 AM in the morning. I was furious. I disconnected her and deleted every evidence of her.I lost my self-esteem in this incident. But now I feel like I wasn't wrong. After this I got to know that she was dating him for 2 years. She lied every single thing. She lost a respect for me. She was having fun with me.So I decided to forget and forgive her for the pain she caused me. That was the hardest decision of my life.I don't care anymore. I am very happy now that I am out of it. She is just no one for me now.PSI learned some life lessons after this. Not every beautiful face have a beautiful heart.Honesty is very expensive thing. Never loose it.Always be truthful with every relationship.Never loose your self-esteem for anyone.Your family is your first priority. Dk everything for them.Don't play with anyone's feelings.Peace!

What was the cruelest thing a company has ever done to you as an employee?
They caused me lose my house.I worked for a company that sold a cheap phone service over the internet. The CTO of the company and I had used an open source software to build a test system at another company we worked for. After a few months of working on the test project he up and leaves.Fast forward 2 years or so and I am working for the best company of my life. I get a message about coming to work with my old CTO as they have now setup a new company using the tech we built along with money from one of his friends. They offered to pay me more and let me work from home. My first child had just been born, so this seemed like an amazing opportunity. I put in my notice, paid back my signing bonus and moved back home (WV to TN).The first week was spent at my new boss’s (the old CTO) house with him hovering over me showing me how to write scripts and other stuff outside my expertise. It was super awkward as he would stand behind me and rub his stomach on my head and shoulders. I was forced to eat when he ate and I had to stay in his son’s bedroom. It was like being in prison for that first week. The next week I got to work from home, but he would call or message at all hours of the day and night. The next week I got to shadow a guy I knew from our old company that actually did the job I was trained and had experience doing. He told me to get used to the crazy schedule, but to look forward to the bonuses. The next 3 months were awful. We couldn’t go out to eat, see a movie, or visit family as my boss would just message out of the blue wanting stuff done NOW. To make matters worse, if I didn’t do it within an hour he would just do it himself and get pissed off at me when I corrected it.The final straw for me was during the month of December. We were told that they needed all hands on deck and made us all stay in a hotel in Nashville from Dec. 2nd to Dec. 23rd without being able to go home. The only reason they let us finally go home is because we all threatened to walk out if we missed Christmas with our families.I had resolved to find a new job immediately, so I put out my resume and got an offer to work 2hrs from home with another startup. I told them I would need a month to wrap up projects I was currently working on.Meanwhile we all got invited to the Christmas party at the Maralago Hotel in Florida (yes, Trump‘s hotel). I flew in with my wife and daughter for what I thought would be a family friendly trip. It was everything but family friendly. There was a live band at the pool, people were excessively drinking, there were drugs being used, and the team from Europe brought other party favors on their private plane with them. After the company dinner at a crazy restaurant, they paid us our Christmas bonus in cash out of the trunk of a car. I was done.I put in my notice, which they didn’t want. They just cut off all my access and told me to deliver their property back to them. I thought it was finally over. Then the real problems started. It turns out my boss and the owner of the company felt cheated by me leaving. When they found out I had already gotten a new job, they accused me of double dipping and PULLED 2 MONTHS OF PAYCHECKS BACK FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT WITHOUT NOTICE.This caused countless transactions to go negative and left us with a negative balance for over a month. The company said there was an error in the payroll and had the payroll processing company remove it.Fought it long and hard, but as I was no longer an employee the payroll company kept sending me back to the company to get answers. It took over a year of fighting to get the money back, but by that time the damage was done and we ended up losing our house. I should have known better. I should have left sooner, but hindsight is 20/20. It finally took the Tennessee Department of Labor tying up their assets and issuing fines for them to finally pay.

What's the most depressing thing you saw as a police officer?
I was sent to do a welfare check on a young woman who had a heart condition. Her mom had called and asked for her to be checked on because she hadn’t heard from her in three days and was worried. Dispatch didn’t say anything over the radio other than the address and that it was a welfare check. When I got there, I walked to the front doorway. The screen door was shut but the main door was open. I knew as soon as I walked up to the door that someone was dead inside, as the smell from a dead body is one that you never forget. I knocked and yelled through the screen door that I was from the Police Dept.- a girl who turned out to be 7 years old came to the door. I asked her if anyone else was home and she said “Yes, my mom”. She then let me in and I followed her to a bedroom where her mom was in bed. The little girl said “she’s been asleep a long time”.I walked sadly over to the bed because I already knew what I was going to find and I was right — she was gone (visual evidence suggested about 40 hours). I couldn’t turn around to look at the child for what seemed like forever; I really had to gather my composure to turn around. I bent down on my knee and asked her what her name was then said, “Well, let’s go outside and sit for a little while.”Our department always had chaplains on call so I requested one on scene by code, and told the rescue squad to stand by and wait. I just sat there with her making small talk for a few minutes — at one point she asked me when her mother would wake up. So I sat and talked to her and tried to explain it as best as I could. She understood but not like an adult understands. She held my hand and cried, then the chaplain arrived and sat with us and talked to her for a while also. This was a depressing situation for everyone involved but for the girl I can’t even imagine how bad it was. She had no father. I had to call her grandmother and tell her also. I asked the grandmother if the girl would be living with her and she said yes. When child protective services arrived, I told them everything, including about the grandmother keeping her. I ended up driving the girl to her grandmother’s which was about an hour away, with child protective services right behind us.All of that was the depressing part. The story has a happy part though. As the girl grew, I kept in touch with her and her grandmother. I’d always send her birthday cards and since they lived in the direction I went to to get to my parents, I would call and stop by whenever I was going that way. At Christmas, I’d bring her Christmas presents. I did this until she graduated high school (I was so excited when she sent me her graduation invitation). I attended her graduation and watched this once-little child walk up and get her graduation paper as a sweet well-adjusted young lady. Her graduation was about 15 years ago and she still sends me birthday cards and Christmas cards and I send her the same — Yes, I still do. She lives on the opposite side of the country now so I doubt I’ll ever see her in person again, but she sure touched my heart many years ago though thinking about it is still depressing. But nowadays, we have Skype and FaceTime so I do get to see her and her husband. Plus, a few years back she had her own child.Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes but I just don’t feel like re-reading this in order to correct mistakes. Feel free to edit any spelling or grammar mistakes. As a final note on what I learned from this: I learned kids are capable of understanding more than what we think. I learned that no matter what, you can go on in life and be happy. I learned that although blood is thicker than water, blood kin aren’t a requirement to be family. This last statement came completely true for me when I adopted my fiancée’s son— I love that little smiling baby boy and never look at him like he’s not mine and will always treat him like he is because, well, he is part of my family.I hope anyone reading this will learn what I have from it.*** I intentionally left out names.

As a teacher, what is the strangest thing a parent has ever said to you?
“I don't think it was fair that you filed a truancy report. You haven't taught my son anything. He can't even read.” Well, that's quite true -he can't read. But in order to teach him anything he has to be in school more than a half-day once every two weeks. Hence, the truancy report. “Fuck off bitch.” ( Like I haven't been told that before.)“Are you the white bitch that didn't let my daughter use your phone?” No, wasn't me, sorry. (Check with the other white bitch down the hall.)“My son said THAT to you? Well he's quite a little man!” Indeed, in spite of how proud that makes you, him telling me that I can just go《perform a sex act on him》 really isn't appropriate. “Oh, sure. I can see that.” Good, thanks,(and damn, June just got further away.)“What did his vomit look like? Was there a lot?” Please just come pick him up, (before I have to change my damn slacks again).“She’s so violent because she needs her teeth cleaned. I'll take her to the dentist.” Ok, I'll make a note of that in her behavior plan, (and the next time she tackles me her breath will be minty fresh.)“My boyfriend tried to have sex with her, ( an 11 year-old), do you think that's why she's been acting so bad?” (I'll let the police answer that for you while I go cry in the restroom.)“3:15 is too early for him to come home. Can't you just drop him by at around 5:00?” No, sorry (cause see after talking to you, I'm turning in my resignation papers at 3:16).“I think my son would learn better if you were taller.” ( I'll stand on my tippy-toes if you think that will help.)“I want you to learn him another language.” I am doing my best with this one.Do you spell your daughter's name with one ’n' or two? “I'll have to check her birth certificate. Can you get that for me?” (I'm just gonna go ahead and spell it with two for now.)

How should I prepare for skill test of stenographer ssc?
I will answer this question in bullet points so as to make it easy to embrace and remember the important points. The first and foremost important thing you should do daily is that practice gramologues or shortforms of stenography as it covers more than 60% of the total matter.practice phrases..for eg. “I would like to draw the attention of the Hon’ble Minister” it is a phrase you can mail me if facing a problem in stenography.write dictation first at the speed of 80 wpm (which is eligibility for ssc grade D)either from youtube or elsewhere. then write it atleast two times so that you get used to of the words in the dictation. after writing dictation read it in your mind. And then either type it or speak it and analyse your mistakes and then write them in a notebook and practice the words which you didnt write correctly.Once you have mastered 80wpm then try 90wpm and then slowly go till 110 wpmSpecial tipsThe first and foremost important thing to achieve success is consistency.Try to write only with steno pencil.make your outlines small.write initials of names and places.practice shortforms and phrases as much as you can.Don’t write continuously as it will affect your outlines.Learn spellings of legal words , general words, etc. thoroughly because while transcribing the matter, sometimes we get confused in spellings of even simplest and easiest words due to exam pressure.Try to write names in your own way in shorthand. I prefer to write initials.Practice more and more.In shorthand, there is a simple rule, the more you practice, the more you get proficient and acquire more speed.Analyse your own mistakes and work on them. And don’t forget to practice grammalogues or shortforms and phrases as they account nearly 60 % of every matter. The most imp. thing: Try to get accuracy first not speed.I found this book useful, it has highly advanced outlines and phraseography which are important for skill test of stenography for ssc, courts, parliament, govt. departments, etc. By using the words and phrases in this book you can increase your speed 70–140 wpm.Great book for high speed stenographers Instamojo:https://www.instamojo.com/guide_...If you face any difficulty in writing any word or phrase in steno, you can mail me at e-mail provided in my profile.Tips for typingType “The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Right Over The Lazy Dog” as much as you can as this sentence involves all the alphabets.Type a paragraph of 200 words again and again.Keep your palm (except your fingers) in the air , don’t let it rest on the keyboard or keyboard table. Doing this will impart activeness. The most important thing: Don’t look at keyboard. For beginners , i suggest to start with typewriter if you can.At last, i just want to say “Practice makes man perfect”The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war.All the very best.Hope it is useful. Thanks for reading:)

What would happen if a soldier ran and hid on the battlefield to avoid being killed or shot at during combat?
Here is one example:I was with A-401, IVG Corps Mobile Strike Force, B-40, C-4, 5th Special Forces Group (Green Berets). We would deploy out of our small A-site to conduct combat operations usually in the Seven Mountains area. Each Mike Force company of indigenous personal were commanded by two Special Forces NCOs. SSG Greg Skougland and I were in command of 43rd Company made up of 112 Cambodians and 29 Chinese Nungs. The intent of our 30 operation was to find, fix and destroy NVA units. After two weeks in the field the work chopper landed to drop off supplies that were ordered in paragraph 9 of the nightly SITREP (situation report), in addition to the resupply our detachment commander hopped off the HUEY to spend a few days with us. He was not there to command but just observe. Two nights later we were hit by a sizable force of NVA Infantry. Greg went to one side of the perimeter and I the opposite side. The NVA were charging on line like the Japanese did in WWII. Our Cambodians don’t run. When I arrived a few seconds after the initial contact was made by one of our LP/OP (listening post/observation post) all the Cambodians were laying down automatic fire. The M-60 gunner had the trigger engaged firing a steady stream of 7.62 rounds. Normally the 60 gunner will fire 3 round burst otherwise the barrel will overheat and warp. I immediately called in an artillery strike using TRP’s (target reference points) the Army uses a numbering sequence but that takes to long to convey so we used objects. I remember calling in, “ White blossom this is pebble symbol, (two word callsigns which is shortened after the initial call) fire mission, tree house, rock; fire for effect, danger close, I will adjust, over”. Within a few minutes the 105 artillery rounds started landing. We always had a 60mm Mortar that I called for illumination with parachute flairs. They were located in the center of the perimeter with 3 fighting positions (foxholes). An air force gunship called me and said, ‘give me a grid corordinate ( used to indicate a point on the map) I inquired who the f**k are you the voice came back give me a grid square then sit back your war is over. Shortly after that Greg the A-Team medic (today 18D) ran past me with no weapon nor any equipment. His interpreter stopped next to me. I shouted, “where the f**k is Greg going?” He responded, “LP/OP wounded Greg go save. I’m like, sh*t I’m alone especially if he gets hit. I told his interpreter that I wanted six men. In no time I had 6 Cambodians standing in front of me. I told the interpreter to tell the men to follow me for I was going to form a firing line to insure that Greg returned unharmed. I observed Greg returning with the soldier in a fireman’s carry. I took the 6 men back inside of the perimeter. Greg dropped the soldier and started working on him. Will I was exposed about 80 feet beyond the perimeter firing my M-16, my stomach went weak and my knees buckled, it was at that moment I pissed in my pants. Shortly after that the NVA retreated. I was like, “hey, dudes your initial plan isn’t working you better go to plan B; but they had no plan B. In Special Forces we always have three COA’s (courses of action) so if plan A fails we would quickly initiate Plan B.After the three hour battle everything was quiet. I looked at Greg and asked, “BTW, Greg where is the captain?”. He replied “I don’t know” as the conversation continued a head popped out of one of the 60mm foxholes. It was a moonless night and I asked, “Captain bXXXXXX, is that you.” He replied, “yes” I then said “it’s OK now you can come out of the foxhole”. He hid the entire time we were being attacked. It was OK with Greg and I because he was not the best officer and he would have mucked up the battle.I was in the B-Team for some administration paperwork because they were closing A-401 and I was being sent to A-404 the Airboat camp. Greg showed me a DA Form 638, used for writing up someone for an awards or valor. I read the form which contained the narrative of what I had done during the battle. I smiled and told Greg that was a nice gesture. With a sour look he said read the name. Our hero-not Captain had whited out my name and inserted his. MAJ Bridgewater had put both Greg and I in for the Silver Star and left for the States the week before. I told Greg shit he hid the entire time. He said, I know but it needs two signature and that he had already signed. I protested to the new B-Team commander and he ordered me to sign. Both awards were downgraded to Bronze Stars with V device (V-valor) OK, I’ll sign. 24 years later I was able to get in touch with MAJ Bridgewater and he asked about the award that he had submitted on my behalf. I told him no, that CPT BXXXXXXX changed the name on the form and he received the BS/V. Bridgewater was so pissed remarking, “there is nothing more contemptible than someone stealing the valor of another. He took the time to submit the paperwork once again through the Senator office. About 7 months later I received the award. So the short answer, it depends on who witnesses the cowardly act.Taken the morning after the battle. The Cambodians of 43rd Company.

As a police officer, have you ever pulled somebody over on their way to a hospital?
Yes, I did. One night while on patrol, I witnessed a Lincoln Town Car cruise through 5 red lights at a high speed, never checking for cross traffic. I finally got the car stopped, walked up to the driver’s window and asked for the license and registration. I explained why I made the stop. Then the driver tells me his daughter who was sitting calmly in the front seat was having a potentially fatal cardiac arrhythmia. I asked if he could calmly drive to the designated hospital, where the Pediatric Cardiologist was waiting, or did I need to call for an ambulance. He said he could drive. I followed.Once at the hospital, the daughter got out of the car and walked in and began the waiting process to be seen. I issued a citation for running ONE red light (instead of 5 that I could have), and had the driver sign the citation. The Nurses, who all knew me, were PISSED that I would issue that citation. One chewed me a new fecal relief opening in my backside. I calmly told the man and the nursing staff that I would check back with the doctor later that morning, and if the girl in fact was truly a medical emergency, and at risk of dying, then I would Nolle Prosse the citation with the City Attorney’s Office.About 6 hours later, I contacted the doctor at the hospital, and inquired about the severity of the girls condition (she was in the intensive care unit by now). He did confirm that she could have very easily died had she not obtained medical help.I kept my word to the man. The next day, I wrote a report to Nolle Prosse (Not to Prosecute) the citation based on the medical facts of the girl’s condition. I also contacted the man and told him I had done so, and that there would be no need for him to appear in court, and that he would get a letter from the court confirming what I had told him.Next I went to the hospital and found the nurse who had publicly berated me. I calmly took her to a private office, and calmly told her that I do not tell her how to administer medications, start IV’s, or generally treat patients, and I would expect her, in the future, to not tell me how to take care of my business either.________________________________________________________________________________EDITED: I have taken a thrashing by some on this answer. I am not sure if some of the people don’t know this or really care, but most law enforcement officers actually care about the people they work for. By that I mean the public; the ones they serve and protect. But they operate in a quasi military fashion. That is to say that they follow the orders and directives given by their superior officers. They do not question the orders, they obey them. UNLESS, that order is an illegal one. Only then, can they refuse.I was following an order which had been handed down. We were not allowed to release a person when this event occurred until we could ascertain that there was indeed an actual medical emergency, and getting to the hospital was a matter of life or death. With that in mind, I had two choices, because I did not have 6 hours to wait until the doctor finished his exam of the girl, got all the tests done, results in, and a diagnosis made. Therefore, I had a choice to make, since I could not just release the driver; that would have violated the orders I had been given. So, my choices were:1 - Write him citations for 5 red light violations.2 - Handcuff him and arrest him for the violations, AND negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and let him post a bond.3 - I could show some compassion, while still honoring the order we were given, and write him 1 citation out of 5 violations, and then Nolle Prosse that one citation if, and when, the doctor could confirm that a life threatening emergency had existed. I picked option 3.Given my position, which would YOU choose? Come on now, YOU HAVE TO MAKE A CHOICE!!!! WHICH WOULD YOU DO?I did the best I could while following the orders given. Had I arrested him, I would have charged him with, in addition to the red light violations, 5 counts of negligent operation because he failed to SLOW at any of the intersections. To do more than what I did would have been punitive and cruel. Do less, and I likely would have been fired for insubordination.I thank each one of you for your comments, positive or negative. What was a loophole that you found and exploited the hell out of?
Exploited just once that too unintentionally.I and my girlfriend love to bake. (Not professionally. But just for our sake). We were out of Vanilla extract (In India it’s understood by only as Vanilla Essence). We searched many shops and they were also out of Vanilla Extract. One night we went to a Super Market (I won’t reveal the name, else I won’t get another chance if they know about the flaw :-P). I searched for the Vanilla Extract and luckily it was there. I told my girlfriend, “let’s take a box (Set of 10 bottles) since we are baking quite frequently and we will run out soon and search for this again”. She agreed. Suddenly, she said and I agreed, “let’s take 3 Cardamom Extract as well (Ilaichi essence)”. She removed 3 Vanilla extract from the box and put 3 Cardamom Extract in the box. Here comes the Fun part.Something struck to my mind, and I checked the price of both the bottles. Cardamom extract was nearly double the price of the Vanilla extract. I told her, “we should take these separate as the price is different”. She said, “let’s try once today. If the cashier sees, it’s okay. Else it will be his mistake”. I agreed. Here comes the Funnier part. The cashier didn’t open the box and scanned the bar code on the box directly. We paid and came out. My girlfriend said, we shouldn’t have done that. But it’s just this one time. I said, “let me tell you something else”.Here comes the Funniest part.“The bar code on the box represents just one bottle. Not the whole box. The cashier didn’t have any idea about that. So when he scanned, it took the price of one bottle of Vanilla extract. We got 7 bottles of Vanilla extract and 3 bottles of Cardamom extract (which is equal to nearly 5 bottles of Vanilla extract) at the price of just one bottle of Vanilla extract.”After knowing this, my girlfriend is saying me even today (after 3 days of the incident), “this is bad. We should have told them”. I said, “we wanted to do little bit of cheating (Hera Pheri), but God had a different plan. Now don’t think that it’s cheating. We simply took advantage of a flaw in the pattern. The production company should have put the bar code of 10 bottles on the box instead of just one bottle. Who knows, the super market also not exploiting that flaw? As while buying bulk, no one checks individual items. They scan the bar code and put the price. The cashier should have checked properly as we bought just 4 items including that box and there was no rush as well.”Here comes the LOL part. When I told the incident to my best friend, he suggested, “Let’s start a Essence shop at the parking Area of that super market. We will buy from the upstairs and sell in the parking area at cheaper price.”PS:I’ll add the images once I signNow home.I am not going to exploit the hell out of it, asI’m not a business man.I’m not a cheater.I don’t require the Vanilla extract until this lot finishes.Edit 1:As promised, here are the images. The brand name is hidden to avoid any type of such incident by anyone else. From the image, it's clear that, both vanilla and cardamom extracts are distinguishable, just by looking at it. So my assumption that the cashier will find out if he checks was correct.Edit 2:Well I didn’t expect for people to take it in a wrong way, That’s why I didn’t mention some more facts. As the comments suggest, I did intentional shoplifting when I put the higher priced bottles with the lower priced ones. From my perspective, I needed a container for the bottles as they were small. They can’t be kept in the trolley separately as they will slip through. And I can’t carry another box as there were none empty.
